i just remember it to 3.14159, I read this autobiography by an HFA fella who had synaesthesia for numbers and letters and words so he would associate shapes and colors for numbers, and because of this words and numbers had individual identities to him, rather than non-connected symbols representing concepts. This caused him to be able to set the record for recitation of Pi decimal places(it was later broken by a jap) and learn Icelandic in a week.

edit (holy shit content): real life stories of mass hysteria

I read through until the dancing plague, and followed through that to the wikipedia article that had possible explanation until I found this...

Quote
Ivan Crozier, a lecturer at the University of Edinburgh and expert on another type of MPI, genital retraction syndrome (or "penis panic"), agrees with Waller's explanation.

Quote
genital retraction syndrome (or "penis panic")

Quote
"penis panic"

Quote from: From Wikipedia
Genital retraction syndrome (GRS), generally considered a culture-specific syndrome, is a condition in which an individual is overcome with the belief that his/her external genitals—or also, in females, breasts—are retracting into the body, shrinking, or in some male cases, may be imminently removed or disappear. A penis panic is a mass hysteria event or panic in which males in a population suddenly believe they are suffering from genital retraction syndrome.

Penis panics have occurred around the world, most notably in Africa and Asia. Local beliefs in many instances assert that such syndromes are often fatal.

Quote
OFTEN FATAL

GUYS. WE HAVE A PROBLEM HERE.

Edit: It appears that they actually go on to talk about genital retraction syndrome in the original article linked. they recognize the danger!

They also illustrate that syndrome with screengrabs from the shrinkage episode of Seinfeld. Methinks they are making a subtle statement.

Hahaha.

As with all of Andy Samberg's work, it's hilarious at first but then gets a little repetitive and grating and ultimately falls short.

Admittedly I know little of his work, since I don't watch SNL every single week, but the couple skits I've seen him in were hilarious through and through:
Mark Wahlberg talks to animals
How to talk to girls

Those all kind of sucked. My hatred of SNL and musical humor in general has once again been reaffirmed. Although, I bet it would probably help if I knew what Mark Wahlberg talked like.

First of all, for the record, Andy Sambergh's Marky Mark impression is 100% dead on, and I was genuinely impressed with with J***, but their magnum Opus is always going to be, to my mind, Lazy Sunday: http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/chronicles-of-narnia-lazy-sunday/2921/ (Sorry about the commercial, but I'd rather give you a high quality video link than give you a 'recorded from taping it off my hacked iPhone' link from youtube).
Musical Comedy is definitely one of the most hit/miss brand of comedy, second only to Non sequitur humor (Mitch Hedbergh = Good NS humor, Demtri Martin = Bad NS Humor), but Stephen Lynch is just good, even though he may be a dick in real life, and to be fair, Jack Black has said many times that Tenacious D started out as a just a musical comedy thing, before he realized that they were actually a competent power-rock/soft metal band.

I've never heard anything about Stephen Lynch being a dick. I've met him twice and he was nothing but polite. I even actively seemed to make him feel guilty about one of his songs for a minute.
