So, I was comissioned by a friend to make a layout for his website. Before you see it, read the following...
Yes, that is a Pokemon.
You will not give me shit about the Pokemon.
The Pokemon show is mentally retarded.

I absolutely hate main content areas that have scrollbars inside them.  Do you really need to set a max height for the content div? 

Other than that it looks pretty cool.

Like.
The bottom scroll bar is gone.
and there's a left padding of 3px.

LARPing is Live Action Role Playing. Meaning you dress up as some character and pretend to be them in real life.

That said, your run-of-the-mill role playing is generally text-based and done over the internet.

You could also make it so it resized itself automatically and wasn't fixed at a certain width.  You're still locking it at a certain height, too.  I am not sure why people do that, it's like, you don't have to make everything fit into the one page, that is why browsers have scrollbars.

It's not a bad start, but there are a few things that could use some improvement.

If you're going to make it a fixed width, please center it on the page. It will still work on lower resolutions no problem, but it won't look off-balance at higher resolutions. (As it stands now, there's a huge distracting void on the right side of the page, and I'm only running at 1280x1024.)

The 10 point text doesn't really work for the amount of space you've got, and the existing margins make everything feel crowded. You might want to experiment with different font sizes and margins.

Also, fixed height layouts are bad. To be frank, it looks really amateur when you've got lots of empty space everywhere and a 500 by 250 scroll-o-matic box for yoru main content. The footer should always follow the content, not dictate where it's restricted to.

See, I wish I could express my reasons why I dislike fixed height layouts like that.  Generally when I try to explain why I don't like these types of things it comes out like "WHAT ARE YOU, A FUCKING ASSHOLE? IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP, GODDDDDDD".

Fix the width, make it relative or something. It looks like crap at 1024x768 in FF 2.0.0.16, it is too wide for 1024x768 despite your claims otherwise
