I have to agree with 'Drone. Also, that and Pinball Wizard are the only ones that really jumped out at me (in a good way. Several WTFs though). If the ones I don't know sound anything like the setlist for RB1, I won't bother.

Not even true.  The Wii is getting Rock Band 2 also. Just later, with the other consoles.
Though it will likely have some features removed because harmonix is a bunch of bitches.

I kind of feel like that is the worst Mastodon song you could pick for a game like this.  Seriously.  Even "The Wolf is Loose" would have been better.

That Bikini Kill song is ridiculously awesome and I look forward to playing it.

...

Now that I think about it, it'd probably be best to gather a group of good-looking females to play it.

Hey, at least they have Mastodon. What would have been bitchin' though is if they did Capillarian Crest. The guitar would be so good.

I would like to point out that the existence of an artist in the main set list greatly increases their chances of appearing in the DLC.

I'll bet many dollars that that Chinese Democracy song means Appetite for Destruction (or a G'n'R super pack like The Who one that was just released) will appear as album DLC later on, for example.

Actually I was listening to Pink recently and it struck me how well some of the tracks would fit in Rock Band.

Do you think Harmonix haven't actually heard Sloan? I can't think of a reason they wouldn't be in Rock Band otherwise, they're Goddamn made for it.

The Modest Mouse is a good addition. But why Float on? They seemed to just grab it because it is popular, why not Paper Thin Walls? Much better song, sounds much funner to play. Other than that and a few other songs, it looks like it will be fun to play.

And the new Guns n' roses made me speeshfull.

At work tonight I was listening to Last Splash and it occurred to me that "Cannonball" is basically THE perfect song for Rock Band.  Prominent and fun bass line, rockin' guitar, punchy drum rhythm, and yelling "WANT YOU!  CU-CUCKOO!!!!  CANNONBALL!!!!!!" would be nice also.

I'm sure Harmonix has heard Sloan but let's be honest, outside of Canada almost nobody gives a shit about them.  I even know quite a few people who like the "indie rock" but think of Sloan as a cheezy mediocre pop band.

Idiots.   :x

I still think the vocals are iffy on the "fun" aspect at quite a few places, but I guess this one would be all right. I stand corrected.

Same here,
If they dont realize that downloadable content is really that big of a deal then Im not gonna spend the money on it. Which is sad because Ive always liked rock band more than Guitar Hero.
Anyway, Im glad that at least GH will have DLC.

People really need to learn to stop blaming Nintendo for Wii's online shit. EA somehow made multiplayer awesome with Medal of Honor Heroes 2, even cutting out the terrible friend codes system and implementing their own online handle system, so Nintendo can't be entirely to blame. I'm sure EA could figure DLC out if they really wanted to.

As far as proof of DLC for GH:WT, there's this: http://www.gamedaily.com/games/guitar-hero-iii-legends-of-rock/wii/game-features/guitar-hero-world-tour-for-wii-getting-downloadable-tracks/?biz=1

I wish I could buy it but I don't own anything to play it on so buying the game will be pointless. But I guess it's okay, as I am pretty sure my university will buy one or two copies and have them available to play at various events.

There are so many songs on this one that I actually know. I can sing more! Yay!

Aye. It'll be intense.

Man, I'd really love to play some Pink Floyd. Problem is a lot of their songs have killer solos in them, but also have guitar-less passages full of nothing but synth and such. Which is something that kind of bugs me--I wish they would bring out a keyboard instrument. I know, it sounds lame. But so many of these songs, and so many of the songs in the 1st Rock Band have major keyboard parts in them.
