Guacamole is pretty awesome as long as it doesn't have chopped onion in it. Mole is better though.

Avacadoes are pretty great. They work well in salads, sandwiches, burgers, lots of things! Aside from guacamole. I would also be interested in seeing some folks recipes which feature avacado. Unfortunately, I don't have any as I'm pretty lousy at preparing food...

And if this thread is trolling, it's pretty well disguised as not trolling.

And yes please to the cucumber sandwiches!

Back on to the unnecessary topic, avocado is nature's butter and avocado oil is almost as awesome as rice bran oil when it comes to cooking.

Yeah, I've had that. It's pretty popular here, actually. Because my small suburban town likes to think that it's L.A. or something.

But, it is delicious. I can get behind any trend that supports something worth being supported. Yep. Tea party it is!

I am a recent convert to guacamole and avocados in general.  I'm not sure what triggered it, but all of a sudden I was like 'Hey, this green stuff is good on mexican food!  And this fruit-vegetable thing, it is good on sandwiches!'.

It was a watershed moment, I tell you.

Scrambled tofu with avocado is my favorite thing to cook when hungover, because it is ridiculously easy and nutritious.  Served with dry toast and big glass of cold water, it's like a goddamn miracle cure.

I always assumed bubble tea was carbonated tea.  The bubbles are solid?  Now I am very intrigued.

Added: I love avocado in burritos and on burgers (Boca, in my case.)  Chipotle burritos can be good or bad depending on how stoned the employees are.

Yeah, the bubbles are made out of tapioca or something? Ever since I decided they looked like massive fish eggs, I kinda got put off them.

I used to eat avocado with balsamic vinegar and tomatao on toast as a ritzy breakfast (Avo's are pretty pricey here, most of the time). It's pretty goddamn tasty.

it's not slimey and the fat is all unsaturated and omega, making it far more healthy than most things you probably have in your diet.

Hop on over to Chinatown. That is actually where I experienced bubble tea for the first time. That is, where I first learned of my deep-seated disgust for it. All experiences since have done nothing but confirm that first impression. The texture makes me nauseous.

As for avocados, cut in half, eaten with a spoon, a little seasoning or just salt. Perfect for lunches.

Coconut Milk Tea with coconut lychee jelly is what I was introduced to bubble tea with, and it's all I drink; I get some as much as possible in summer, nom nom nom!

Avocado is good a number of ways:

1. Chicken schnitzel with avocado, semi-dried tomato and melted cheese on top,
2. Three layer dip - mashed avocado, salsa (normally mild, but that's because I am a wuss) and sour cream layered on top of each other. Favourites at parties! Looks pretty gross after a few people have had some, though.
3. uh, I'm sure I'll think of more later
