I have problems finding jeans that fit the curve of my hips, but since I find ones that fit my butt pretty nicely, I usually suck it up and take them in. My favourite pair of jeans right now are the only size 4 I have (women's sizes are even, girls' are odd); most of them are 3s, and since girls' pants are cut less curvy in the hip region i take out the waistband a bit and make a dart on the side down to where my hip sticks out the most to keep them from pulling down and showing off my buttcrack every time I bend my knees.

Boys in shorts are ok by me. I don't really care, and I happen to find certain instances of baggy pants and cargo shorts appealing.

Also, Mai, that is an excellent purple-shirt-grey-skirt outfit.

Also also, legs. Holy wow, legs. I am pretty sure by this point that I have a thing for most parts of the human body (beautiful hands or particularly nice chest/shoulders area or a nicely defined back drive me absolutely crazy), but unless they are rather out of proportion, I do not see how anyone could not like legs. They are amazing.

I don't want laser surgery, because the idea of it is kind of gross and freaky and gives me the jibblies

i had never met anyone who has had laser eye surgery so what made me feel a bit better was discovering that my friend's girlfriend has actually had this procedure done really recently. she is currently training to be a firefighter and apparantly firefighters need to have perfect vision. so i was asking her all these terrifying questions about it and she was just kind of "no way man, it was the easiest quickest thing ever, you're awake and it doesn't hurt and it's basically impossible for them to fuck up." i had no idea what i was expecting but i guess it's really not so bad after all.

Well, I honestly don't know what happens now, but in 10th grade (6 years ago), my health teacher made us watch a video of the surgery. This was back when they cut off the cornea and then flapped it back on after they did the laser bit. I don't think they do that any more, but that was what freaked me out.

I would probably get the surgery if I wasn't totally uncomfortable with the idea of being shot in the face with a fucking laser. Also I look pretty cool in glasses. But mostly it's the laser thing.

The only thing preventing me from getting laser surgery is the money.  Aside from more wishes or like a million billion dollars or a date with Rihanna that Id want most is Lasik.

How cool would it be if "laser eye surgery" meant they actually install lasers in your eyes?

But I don't want laser surgery, because the idea of it is kind of gross and freaky and gives me the jibblies. And who knows, your eyes could go back to being crappy in years to come and you forked out a ton of money for nothing.

i am going to eventually do this, and i am going to get it done for free, or for almost nothing.

joe, it'll be free because i won't have to pay my aunt for her services, but i also won't have to actually pay (or will pay a very reduced cost) for the surgery time & technology because of the general health care system.

also, i gave up on my dad and started bugging my boyfriend but nobody has gotten me a unicorn yet >:(  my life sucks!

that is a pretty awesome deal. ontario doesn't really cover anything vision-related anymore. you used to at least be able to get a free eye exam every 24 months but i guess they changed this pretty recently as well cos i found out upon paying for my glasses that once you're 20 you just have to pay for all of them. always. forever.
eyesight seems to me like the kind of thing that's really important but i guess that is just me.

I would do horrible, horrible things for free Lasik. I can't do glasses and am pretty much forced to go with contacts, but it has nothing to do with aesthetics. I actually like how I look in my current glasses quite a bit, but there's the whole sensitivity to light thing. Half the time I can't go outside during the day without either wearing sunglasses or squinting to the point of looking ridiculous, so glasses are kind of impractical.

i gave into the trend and bought big silly sunglasses.  well, they were buy one get one free!

yay or nay (despite the silly faces)?

how do you guys feel about them?  (not necessarily on me, but big sunglasses in general).  i still dislike the ridiculous huge round ones that look like bug eyes, but they've mostly grown on me.

Man, I dislike large sunglasses in general. But as always, cute girls can pretty much pull off anything!

Also, I like the first pair better. And the peacock feather shirt.

Obviously, aviators on girls only works if they are shoplifting some stuff and then taking a picture of themselves in the act to mock the shopkeep.

Moo, first glasses are better, second ones not so much.

Now I theorize the whole trend behind the large glasses are it covers 1/3rd of a girls face with something faultless so they generally make a girl look better with big sunnies than without.

And as far as aves go on girls.  Really you you have to be one of those au-naturale tomboy hotties to really pull them off.  Generally speaking aviators arent a good choice on girls.

The first photo makes them look great--but it's at a deceptive myspace-ey angle. The second one reveals them to be not quite so great.

Aviators were designed with a very specific demographic in mind.

Combat boots, and not girl pants, but not gangsta pants, just normal regular fit pants.

I have no camera, misplaced my phone, which I can't plug in to my computer anyway, so I can't put up pictures. I was hoping there were things to look for. I could just get blocky emo glasses, but they would look stupid on me, so I won't.

The problem with aviators is that unless you have a face that fits them, the general shape of them doesn't follow the average face and tends to make you look like you have deformed eyes.

What the shit is with paying so little for jeans?  Maybe it's just Australia, but I have to buy like, $100+ jeans if I want them to not suck.  I have a pair of Lees that I have worn to death and also a pair of Ben Shermans that have basically become my second skin from the waist down since I bought them and are starting to wear a bit thin in places.  I believe I paid more than $100 for each of them.  Maybe the Lees were a little less, but the Ben Sherman ones were about $120 or so I think.  I need another pair, maybe two.  Maybe another pair of Lee and another Ben Sherman?  Yesssssss.

EDIT: i dont really understand why jeans are so much more expensive in australia either... i guyss you could buy cheaper american jeans on the net but the postage brings it up a bit!

My fiancee was actually with me when I bought this pair of sunglasses back in New York (she's the one who picked them out):

I wore them once on a trip we took canoing, and then the next time I wore them she decided she didn't like them after all. Oh well, I wear glasses all the time now anyway so it doesn't matter.
