Sam,
Why do you have the best jackets?

Be careful not to splash any blood on the jacket, though. Strangulation would be my suggestion.

Jackets such as that actually have a tiny field of nanites around them that stop any sort of stain or blood from getting on them.

You know what else is apparently a secret? Their fucking purpose. You can already zip it up! Then again, maybe it's like a Magritte painting. Is it the zipper or the buttons that are superfluous? Fascinating.

Man, speaking of hidden buttons, does anyone know the reason why so much women's clothing has extra hidden buttons like this?  All I can think of is that perhaps having fabric over the button in the center keeps tummies looking flatter--but at the same time, then you've got more material in that area than necessary, which you'd think would make people look fatter.

Generally I think it is to make the pants look neater because the buttons don't show that way. Also it holds the fabric in a bit so that it doesn't bulge.

Or something.

Jacket,

OK so I am probably going to start riding my bike to work if all goes to plan but that means I will require a backpack. Any suggestions for backpacks that will not make me look like a tremendous geek are entirely welcome.

I prefer messenger bags but they are hard to wear when you are on a bike. Although I believe I may have seen a fellow who was riding a bike and had some swank kind of messenger bag with extra straps so it sat high on the back, like a back pack. Am I making this up?

I guess it is an alright jacket, people just really like Sam.  This is ok though because Sam is pretty rad and wears cool things.

I want a larger version of a jacket I already have and love.  It has shrunk or something since I bought it, because now the sleeves are too short :(

The jacket has buttons that are secret. That makes it cool.

Dovey couldn't you just pull the strap pretty tight on your messenger bag so it goes higher up and is less prone to moving?

Sam does wear some pretty cool things.

Was it washable or something? I've never had a jacket shrink on me. I just mostly outgrow them.

Find a canvas messenger bag, they last much longer. And I've found that if you tighten the strap it causes no difficulties while biking.

Personally, I love the jacket because it has a simplistic design but with a unique oddity. Just my style.

Dovey, the huge roving packs of hipster bicycle kids on my campus all use bags by Chrome. They are probably also balls-ass expensive though, ebay might be good. http://www.chromebags.com/

Yeah, I've had my simple-ass Dickies bag for a little over two years. Cheap, and the only problem I've had was having to patch it up where it's wearing through a little bit (I use it to lug around my textbooks and laptop).

Uhm, cant you just let the strap go to its longest, so the bag rests on your bagage carrier thingsy? I mean, as long as you arent transporting cases of beer onthere, it works like a charm :)

My bike has a carrier and I call it real. When I biked to Guelph for hillside I wore a backpack and had a packed milkcrate attached to my carrier rack, which allowed me to camp and bike all weekend. I did maybe 150km that weekend. Amazing weekend.

Manda it is quite obviously purple snakeskin. So yes the answer is hell yes.

No dough show: I will probably be too lazy to post pics because I have about a two month backlog of sweet threads that I still haven't snapped yet but try to imagine dark indigo jeans and a black shirt and that is probably what I am probably wearing tomorrow night. Also man have you SEEN some of the kicks young people wear these days? These are so tame.
