I read the book, loved it but i am kinda uncertain how the movie will turn out.

Looks a whole lot like Children of Men. Somehow I don't think it's going to be as good, though. Looks stale.

The early screenings that some people have seen apparently weren't very good.  It was directed by the guy who did City of God, which was good, but that may have just been a fluke.

I've been reading the book, and it is absolutely great, but I can not for the life of me imagine it as a movie with Julianne Moore.

The book is pretty awesome. I can't imagine that the movie will be anything more than poorly executed and standardized to fit Hollywood norms.
