crazy taxi - the offspring and bad religion
dave mirra bmx - pennywise (fuckin "greed" man!!! what a song!) and sublime
tony hawks 2 - rage against the machine, lagwagon, further increased my interest in bad religion.

pretty much all the games with punk songs in the soundtrack that came out when i was around 12 got me into punk, and through that, my tastes eventually broadened to include most types of rock, and much more.

in hindsight, i have videogames to thank for shaping my musical tastes now, they had much bigger an influence than i realised.

I've actually never discovered a band from a game, but thats probably because I don't have any games that have music from artists in it.  Although I've gotten into quite a few bands from GMV/combo videos.  What comes to mind is Infected Mushroom, Chemical Brothers and Mindless Self Indulgence.

Lykke Li from Fifa 2009. Hell EA Trax probably has some of the best music out there.

The entire Tony Hawk series basically helped mold what my tastes in music are right now. All the soundtracks from THPS to THUG were awesome.c
