Yeah punctuation sure is pretty pretentious. Look how fucking pretentious this post is, all with two periods and a comma.

Sometime in 2007, I'd say mid to early year.

875 is roughly 350 comics ago.  We cover roughly five comics per week, which makes it 350/5= 70 weeks ago which makes it a little less than a year and a half.

http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1047 Here is the last comic of 2007

1047 - 875 = 172 comics

172/5 = 34.4 weeks

the last day of December that year was a Monday.

Approximately Thursday, May 3, 2007 give or take a day or two.

Holy shit. I as hoping there was a dating system or something I was unaware of, not calculus. Thanks a lot guys. You all rock, and confuse my math-handicapped mind.

I'll never actually get around to it, but I've toyed with the idea of making a list of comic number vs. calendar time. Some work with archive.org could get that project started, and weekly comic threads could pin down most of them.

Calculus? There was need to fund the gradient/area under a curve? o.0

How did you find the time though? It was a Friday comic. Even though it was posted on a Thursday. The newsfeed says see you Monday. . . but again, how did you find out the time?

I don't know how Wintermute found out, but the page info about the image says:
Modified: Fr 04 Mai 2007 04:38:22 CEST
So Wintermute is right, and it was an early comic ;)

You are farther than I am. Well, i guess that depends on when you started....I am only at strip 400 abouts. I've read the most recent, say 50, to have an idea of what's going on currently, but I have a lot of catching up to do!

I had thought this strip started longer ago than 2007...but 5 a week and only being at around 1200 makes sense.

However long its been around, and no matter where any of us are, its still amazing!

Remember that for a significant period of time the comic only updated three days a week.  Occasionally there was a fourth comic as a treat.

Yeah, but once it hit 07 there were 5 comics a week, so that was not a concern here.

I think he was responding to Anastrianna trying to figure out how long ago the comic started based on the math we did earlier.

I got the time from the Last-Modified HTTP header.
