Yeah, this is going to date me pretty severely...

Dungeons and Dragons was probably my absolute favorite. Others that I enjoyed were Starblazers, G.I. Joe, and the original Transformers Series.

Damn I feel old now...

I was born in 1990, so pretty much anything on Nickelodeon. I wish they showed more of it today. This thread made me realize pretty much all I did when i was young was watch cartoons. Personal all-time favorite would be Rugrats, although that started going down when they took the cousin Oliver approach and added Dil, then again when Kimi was added, and fell off the cliff with All Grown Up. I also really liked Doug, Kablam!, and Angry Beavers.

Did anyone else used to watch "Daria" on MTV? I think it was on in the late 90's-. I loved it back then, and torrented all the episodes a few summers back, and its even better now (maybe because i get more of the jokes & musical references). Also, "Clone High" was genius.

Sharky & George the detectives of the sea. I also loved the muppets, thunderbirds, captain scarlet, SMTV live, Hey Arnold and The Simpsons. I found ren & stimpy scary as a kid but i just find them annoying now.

I still kinda resent my parents... they had this thing about certain cartoons being "vulgar" (I think that was their excuse?) and not letting me watch them. This applied to everything from Beavis and Butthead (fair enough) and Cow and Chicken (same), to Ren & Stimpy, Rocco's Modern Life, The Simpsons, and sometimes Angry Beavers. Grrrrrr parents. Grrrrr.

OK... suprised no one mentioned this one...

The Littles.

I also was getting into Beakman's World for a bit as a grown up. Not really a cartoon, but it was fun.

I like the Real Ghostbusters, and the other Ghostbuster show for a while.

Gummy Bears needed more air time, and a longer run. It seemed to end all to quickly. Darkwing duck was alright, Rescue Rangers rocked, Talespin was cool, Ducktales didn't do as much for me, and the new kid Goofy was... god, that was bad.

I like the Voltron with the various cars and things to make up the guy, the Lions was crap.

Ren and Stimpy was genius, and the Cow and Chicken from the same creators was great, specially I Am Weasel and I R Baboon.

Tiny Toons was a great re-imagining of the great Looney Tunes cartoons, and had superior writing that some of today's regular tv shows need to take note of. I watched the Looney tunes cartoons also, along with the older Tom and Jerry cartoons. First time I seen the "new" ones, I flipped the station.

TMNT was great for a while, but the repeated fight against Shredder was becoming stale and the jokes that were bantered about between the turtles didn't come off right after a while. The movie (first one) was awesome for it's day, I was in the Navy then and seen it in the theater for 5 separate viewings. I still wonder what happened to the actor that played Casey.

When Batman TAS came on... that was a great show that could have been a prime time cartoon. Mark Hammil voicing the Joker, man that rocked. The Justice league was good, of what I saw of it.

Saturday cartoons in general has almost been killed off. Anime crap like Pokemon, Power Rangers and the card game one that has the three lettered words strung together. Then Congress passed some dumb arse law that had the news programs come on Saturday mornings and had stupid pre school shows like Telly Tubbys and Dora be introduced into the mix, and the shows that actually were made for mere entertainment went away. The WB (CW now) still has it's line up, but has half of it from over seas (they are still showing Pokemon!) along with Sonic (Bad cartoon from a great Video Game) and new TMNT that was and is pretty entertaining. It runs Sunday morning over here, or did. I don't watch much these days.

EDIT forgot Animaniacs. That show rocked, and had Pinky and the Brain and other good side shows.

Ok, need Saturday Morning Cartoon help here:

What was the cartoon with the dogs with superpowers? It was one of that last of the true "Saturday Morning Cartoons" before the Great Culling mentioned above. I remember there was a team of them, and a scientist did an experiment that basically turned them from dogs to... anthropomorphic dogs. Except they each had a superpower, like the Golden Lab leader could run really fast, and I think there was a douchebag German Shepherd who was really good at karate or something? I think it was on ABC... help?

No, those were all great classics. This was much more modern, similar in animation to Freakazoid from what little I remember. I seem to associate it in my head with ABC's One Saturday Morning block, though it's likely it was on a different channel in around the same time block.

Remember when Reboot seemed so awesomely cutting-edge? It was a Saturday morning cartoon show in 1994-95 that was completely done in CGI, I believe the first ever of its kind.

No one I knew liked that when it came out, but now I see all this nostalgia for it. Same for Beast Wars.

I personally liked Beastwars, even though I was in high school when it was on the air. I am a pretty big Transformers fan though, and I have like all the series so far except the newest one, as it subscribes to one of the origin timelines I don't like.

I recently moved in with my cousin, who owns the entire series of Batman : TAS. The last 3 weeks have been spent watching all 4 seasons and the movies, and I must admit it's still as good as I remember it being.
I also rewatched the animated Transformers movie from the late 80's <3<3

Hooray for not being disappointed by a cartoon not living up to my memories of it. (I'm looking at you Sonic Underground!!)

Oh, and on a side note kinda ; Anyone remember a show about a band, being turned into trolls, and their instruments became these weird weapons that they used to fight goblins or some shit?? If you know the name, that'd be sick, been trying to figure it out for lord knows how long.

Techno... i crank up the stereo with one of these songs and put a big smile over to him. Just for the heck of it. I'll think of the Fraggles Song or else ^^.
