A friend of mine has that song set as the ringtone for his wife.  He's really classy.

WOW, she is either extremely cool, or likes it when he hits her.

Like They Even Know - I Hate This Place

I've been listening to this album quite a lot lately. Something about shiny, bubbly, and occasionally morose electropop clicks with me, apparently.

I am currently plowing through all the albums I haven't gotten a chance to listen to in the "GREATEST ALBUM OF THE DECADE" competition, and it's pretty ear-opening.  I had not ever heard The Books before, but they are pretty fantastic!  I am going to have to listen to Ga Ga Ga Ga AND The Argument though, and since I can't say I give much of a shit about either band, it's just going to be taking up time.

April Wine - Drop Your Guns

I love these guys.

Carl Dixon is a really cool guy! I'm not sure if he's gay or just Canadian, though.

Also, I've been listening to a ton of Rammstein, further cementing the fact that I don't listen exclusively to good music.

"Arcane and Misanthropic Projection," by Xasthur.  I'm not usually into the whole "kvlt" thing, but the terrible production of Xasthur actually seems to be an important part of the atmosphere.

I can't understand a word he's saying, though.  I like to imagine he's talking about how much he loves kittens and how punctuality is a virtue.

I wouldn't call it terrible production. I would say that it's the perfect production for that kind of music... Xasthur and many other Ambient Black Metal bands would suck if they had cristal clear production. It just doesn't fit at all.
Kvlt doesn't need to mean "terrible production"  :-P

I haven't heard the latest though... But I really enjoyed Defective Epitaph because Malefic finally used some real drums and while being kind of sloppy it's still 10 times better than the drum machine. I also like the idea of using a chello in the middle of all the chaos.
His voice is amazing imo... I really don't care of the lyrics, his voice is hauting and perfect to hear alone at night.

I'm hearing now:
Asphyx - Last One On Earth
Great album by this dutch death metal band with a bit [just a bit] of doom mixed. The guitar tune is raw like an old chainsaw but the production is so clear that it's like if they are using the chainsaw right in front of you  :-D
