I'm writing essays and Silkworm seems to be the only thing I want to listen to. It is difficult to write when you are singing and playing air guitar. Oh well.

i'm on an absolute Devin Townsend binge atm - rocked the whole of "Synchestra" this morning, followed by some assorted Strapping Young Lad songs, and when I got back in from uni this evening, I threw "Accelerated Evolution" on, followed by "Physicist" which I'm on the second-to-last track of now.  My next coupla hours will be spent taking in "Infinity" and "Ocean Machine: Biomech."

Cat Stevens, the end.

My roommate has been blaring Linkin Park and KISS and I want to murder him brutally.

Nothing wrong with KISS.

Anyway, I'm listening to:

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb.

...but wait - as I post this the song ends, and now...

Pink Floyd - The Division Bell.

^ I looooove Eluvium.

I've been listening to Rainwater Cassette Exchange (the new Deerhunter EP), as well as Moondagger and Grower (new Deastro album and EP). It's all SO FUCKING GOOD, especially Deastro. I'm about to give the new Sunn O))) a spin as well. I love when tons of new good shit comes out in one big chunk. It's like musical Christmas.

Mushroomhead's Simple Survival fading into Dresden Dolls' Night Recon = Epic Awesomeness.

mushroomhead's Episode 29 fading into Sarah brightmans Eden= waitwhut!?

No accounting for taste I guess, but I think they stack together well. It might have to do with the fact that in the spectrum of music I listen to (ie: heavy to soft, melodic to screaming) those 2 songs aren't really that far apart, least not to my ears.

believe me, my spectrum is broader'er... also, I have actually had night recon play randomly after simple survival on my Ipod... since i read your post! spooky!

another one i found odd yet appropriate, was when darkness falls-killswitch engage, followed by Remember -josh groban- live at the greek, and finally Coffee-Aesop Rock....

somehow... they all made since being together... to me. everyone else probably thinks I'm nuts!

I have no idea what "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck" is... but he is an super talented opera/pop/...um... "stuff" singer...
i wouldnt actually own any of his stuff (despite his talent) but live at the greek is freeekin' awesome...
if you only get one groban album get that one...
if you're just starting into the "grobanium" start with it...

Either way. "remember (me)" is not to be confused with "remember when it rained"
also its pretty much THE ONLY good thing about the movie troy...

here's the audio on youtube... if you feel like clicking!

its tacked onto one of those annoing AMV's be warned!

I have no idea what "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck" is...

Okay, quick/short history for you, and why his appearance was so funny, if you care to check them out...

(Funnier even, cause I'd only heard of him as an Operatic Pianist/singer as well)

Jimmy Kimmel (Late Night Host) always did a stupid joke at the end of his show saying "My apologies to Matt Damon, We ran out of time" Which was to say that Damon wasnt quite important enough to actually make it on the show.
Sarah Silverman (Kimmel's longtime Girlfriend) and Matt Damon made a video entitled "I'm Fucking Matt Damon", with Sarah singing the lead...
Kimmel's rebuttal was "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck", citing that if Matt Damon could have sex with the person most important to him, he (Jimmy) could do the same.
Kimmel went ALL OUT though, getting heaps of celebrities to sing about Kimmel's homosexual relationship with Affleck. I won't give them all away but you'll see heaps of people in it (to the point where I'm very surprised you hadn't heard of it)
I'm talking We Are The World type love fest.
Well worth looking up just for Groban's "He's Fucking Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen, He's Fucking Beeeeen Affleeeeeeeck" line. Not to mention all the other cameos  :-D

Sarah's Video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QXnHtNSkD4&feature=related (says uncensored, but its not, was made for US Tv so all versions are censored)

Jimmy's Rebuttal... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_pFTAY7MF8&feature=related

Sorry for the dual post but I just found another freaking funny Josh Groban video from the Jimmy Kimmel show. I'm actually starting to respect the guy. It's only about a min long, check it out if you're bored. (probably NSFW audio)

The 2 above would DEFINITELY be NSFW audio, in case you didnt figure that out already  :-D

Speaking of Josh Groban, has anyone seen the sketch he did with Tim & Eric? It was a tribute album to Casey and His Brother (the character who sings horribly and vomits on himself while looking like he has sun poisoning). It is hilarious.
