"New Hopes, New Demonstrations," the new album by The Ghost of a Thousand.  Fucking amazing, up there as a contender for album of the year I reckon.  It'll be up in the hardcore thread very soon!

I finally bother to listen past "Diamond Day" on the only Vashti Bunyan album I have and it is gently blowing my mind. For whatever reason, or by whatever set of circumstances, now it makes sense even though it never seemed all that interesting before. This seems to be happening a lot lately.

Current 93 - Aleph at Hallucinatory Mountain

Freakin' cool, Current 93 goes all-out rock on this album.  It's akin to isolated bits in C93's back-catalogue like "Hitler as Kalki (SDM)," "Black Ships Ate the Sky" and the Lucifer Over London EP.  Shades of doom metal, psychedelic rock, desert rock are all over the place.  While the teaser EP certainly hinted at this direction, it didn't really prepare me for how good it is in practice.

God, I'd love to see this incarnation live.

Currently listening to "The forrest is crying" CD from Trio Bulgarka.

Man, those 3 bulgarian girls can sing that good - Lisa Gerrad and Kate Bush explode due to gaining critical mass in envy.

The first song I heard by Mogwai "I Know What You Are But What Am I?"
As for Muse, if you're anything like me that love will fade eventually. I'm still really into them, but I don't listen to them as much as I used to by a mile.

Well, yeah, I'm just like that with all bands, though. Still really, really into Pink Floyd, but I haven't listened to a full album of theirs in forever. Same goes for Beatles, same for Queen, same for every single band I've ever fixated on.

I'm listening to every album I have by Bright Eyes and every album I have by Bob Dylan and switching on and off. Even though I got into Bright Eyes with "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning" and prefer the folkier stuff, the early emo-influenced albums are pretty cool, too. I really like "The Calendar Hung Itself...".

Oh I have it (I have all Green Day's albums). It's quite good, but really, if you want pop-punk, you'll be disappointed. Let's say it's the American Idiot sound but with a more stadium-like sound. It's actually my least favourite of them, but you should get around to listen to some tracks on the internet or something before buying it.
