The stream of the new Dear Landlord record.  I cannot wait to actually own this - it's looking like one of the best punk albums of the year, and possibly one of the best albums I've heard so far this year regardless of genre!

Prick - The Wreckard

Bowie-esque rock with angular/schizophrenic mastering.  Quite great.

The Crane Wife 3 - The Decemberists

Saw them for the first time last Saturday.  Truly excellent concert experience: I had just enough delicious beer (Summit Scandia for you connoisseurs out there) to get a nice buzz going, but not too much that I was preoccupied with the effects of the alcohol.  Instead, I rocked out to the entirety of Hazards of Love, then sang along with some of the songs that got me into good music, like Leslie Anne Levine and Engine Driver.  They ended with a cover of Heart's Crazy on You, which, while extremely humorous (and thoroughly awesome), was somewhat of a letdown.  But still, great concert.

I find that with a lot of Spencer Krug songs, the more I like the title, the more I'm going to like it. This time, it's "Apollo and the Buffalo and Anna Anna Anna Oh!"

Dragonslayer, is both ace and depressing.

In The Aeroplane Over The Sea is propably one of the best albums I own. On Avery Island is harder to get into, but after a few times you start to like it.

Indeed there are. It's a pretty good album overall.

I'm rocking the new Dredg record today; not as good as Catch Without Arms, I think, but still pretty tasty!

This: "The Great Defender" by Bird of Youth

Fronted by Beth Wawerna who, if you're lucky, some of you may know as Will Sheff's deut partner on live performances of "Get Big" from Okkervil River's "Black Sheep Boy". Hopefully they'll be releasing their debut soon, which coincidentally is produced by Will Sheff. Also Bird of Youth covered "Pop Lie" as part of that thing Okkervil River did by having their friends cover their songs.

This may be one of the most hate-filled recordings I've ever heard. The title probably gives away what it's about.
