Gaming for a good cause!
« on: 12 Aug 2009, 23:24 »

Hey, just trying to spread the word for something pretty cool. A friend of mine has a group of people together do a huge gaming marathon for GaminForCharity. They are taking donations to get games to sick kids. So far they've made about $130 US, and are looking to have the word spread. So feel free to tune in, and if you're feeling charitable, toss a couple bucks to the kids. The guys doing this get none of the cash. It all goes to the kids.

They ended up going for exactly (or a bit over, not sure) 7 days straight. Made $621 US.

7 days x 24 hours = 128.

128 x $7.25 (min. wage) = $928

Your friends would have earned more for charity by working at McDonald's.

BUT THEIR HEARTS WERE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

They accomplished this in less time. You can't work at McDonalds for $928 in 1 week or less.
