A good friend of mine is a super exceptional, scarily talented modern dancer/choreographer. She's working on a new piece called Mucus Mountain to debut in San Francisco. I haven't confirmed it, but I believe this is a spiritual sequel of sorts to another piece she created called Gut that involved cereal eating and a giant "intestine" set. Her stuff is strange and really compelling and probing yet unlike a lot of modern dance, it's very funny and definitely doesn't take itself too seriously.
