Stop bursting into tears when customers are rude to me.

Oh man. Why are so many people dicks when it comes to retail? Unfortunately, you will get used to it. The vast majority of the jerks are people who know they're doing something wrong, it's just them being defensive. Not two weeks ago this lady with gray hair was trying to rent movies on this account for a 22 year old woman. This was not the right person so I asked to see her ID and she said the worst excuse ever "No, I have my sister's ID but not my own WHY" and she was getting increasingly rude so I was finally like "WELL YOU SEE HER MOTHER IN LAW KEEPS TRYING TO RENT ON THIS ACCOUNT." She eventually grabbed my computer -twice- to twist it toward her so I said I'm not renting to you no matter what now, so you need to leave. I wasn't going to rent to her anyway considering that I guess would be a form of identity theft to us also she had her own account where she was banned from the store for being a jerky mcasshole. I told my boss about all the "fuck you!" and "fuck this store!" and how it's "just me and that other lady [the manager is the other lady, I've been there three years] who give her fucking problems". Now I have permission to call the police if she ever steps foot into my store again! So yay!

So really that was kind of bloggy, but my point is that maybe like me you'll eventually learn to enjoy it when someone is a dickface to you, especially when it bites them in the ass. It also helps that we have a "stupid customer stories" account so we can vent.

My goal is to not get irrationally angry at the boy.
Watch as many new releases as I can so I'm not all "NURR I DUNNO" when a customer asks me about it
Cook real food sometimes
do my laundry more than once a month

What about orgasmic chemistry.

I can expand the definition of that if anyone wants to roll around to my Fortress of Love.

I'll join the book goal, haven't read anything not art-history related in months... Which leads me to my second goal: continue reading art history related stuff for the next couple of weeks and do my very best on the last exam.

1. I declined 'cos I decided that I
2. do not believe in the new year anymore
3. and you must confess that at times like these
4. hopefulness is tantamount to hopelessness, and I accept that it's time for a change but not in
5. places like this with people like these.

In seriousness I do not really have any year end goals, since I have managed to both complete uni and get a real job in the last few weeks so I feel like that gives me plenty of time to do nothing with for the rest of the year. I guess I do have to come up with a good one-year-anniversary thing for my girlfriend, since we met on new years.

1. Pass all my exams
2. Actually go to class [this will probably help with #1]
3. Go out and buy Christmas presents
4. Find a dude with just a little bit of potential -_-

1. Start going to the gym (this will be helped by encouraging my friend to encourage me!)
2. Lose more wieght, hopefully at least another half a stone before the new year
3. Actually do some work on my dissertation (including going to see my tutor more)
4. Try to figure out what to do with my life after I graduate (by going to a career fair or two...)
5. Read some more of a series I started over summer and then had to take a break from because of uni work and the lack of the series in my uni library.

1. Edit my book(s)
2. Sift through possibly publishers who might be interested in my book(s).
3. Finally admit to myself that my book(s) is/are a book(s) and not "stories". Ugh.
4. Try to help my boyfriend to stop being such a little kid and grow up a little.
5. Read less yaoi/manga/comics and more actual books.

Theese four made me check out your profile because, for a moment, there was a possibility that you were my girlfriend.
Sheesh...

Anyhow, while I'm at it:
1. finish the 5th chapter and get on with The book
2. manage to get an a or b out of all of my classes
3. fix my grammar
4. survive the crysis
5. learn english

Hmm, probably just two for me:
1. Survive fucking Thanksgiving/Christmas.
2. Have cash in the bank after Thanksgiving/Christmas.

...which I guess number 2 would be a subsection of number 1. Oh well.
