there are a million films and television shows i adore but i never actually watch television in the literal sense, so one day i'd like to obtain all of the aforementioned films + television shows on disc and then, instead of a tv room, have a room set up to be a little home theatre room with an lcd projector and massive screen and surround sound system and everything. i would sit in that room and watch stuff every day until my eyeballs and eardrums exploded everywhere. it would be so great.

Ditto what she said, plus all the video games I've got backlogged.  And maybe get my super arthouse zombie movie idea financed.

But yeah, my secret geeky desire is to own and run one of the epicest Pokemon RPGs in existance. Yes. That is incredibly sad. I know.

Incredibly sad or incredibly awesome?

I wouldn't mind owning a giant battle robot. That'd be pretty excellent.

Maybe I'd ride it down to the shops of a Sunday.

I want to GM a steampunk rpg

Shit, I already do that.

Um. I want to live in a sci-fi/fantasy world. Actually scratch that, I wish I was a wizard in Harry Potter.

I cried when I didn't get a letter from hogwarts as a kid. I wish I was joking.

If you can't tell, that's a camera.

It's a render of a camera? Why don't they photograph the thing, I know those exist.

I'm fairly certain that is a picture of the camera. The plastic feeling of the pictures is part of the marketing campaign. I could be wrong though, since they are not available for purchase yet, and won't be for a while. If you want more information, check here.

UPDATE: Now that I look at it, that could very possibly be a render. The cameras don't start coming out for public use until next summer, but I do know that at least for most of the brains, they are already being used on feature films.

Well, you could just live in a cupboard under some stairs.

Actually, that reminds me...I had this idea once to save space where I'd put my wardrobe in front of the door to my bedroom, cut out the back of it, and then I'd exit and enter my room all Narnia stylin'.

Uncanny, since that is where all of the awesomeness stemmed from. (I would say every issue ever, but the original comics were kind of lame and repetative...I also don't like how every sentence ended in either ! or ? and sometimes both...grrrrrr)

Man, I have a couple of big textbook sized uncanny collections. Sadly, they are falling apart.

That's awesome except for I fail to see what kind of game you would play it with considering the GC has primarily kid-friendly games.

Oh, man, that reminds me of the office nerf war video. So funny.

You know, when I was playing with nerf, you had to load one at a time for most of them, it was a big deal when they made one that you could load four at once, and had an action that took most of a 10-year-old boy's strength to work. Goddamn kids off my lawn!

Your secret geeky desire is to have an MLC SSD?  Intel are releasing superior SLC-based SSDs next year.

Which will cost a bleedin' fortune. This one is a desire I can reasonably expect to fulfill in the next 12 months :)

I want to be in a power metal band with extreme elements.

We will only ever hold outdoor gigs, as I will always enter stage by plummeting to the ground on the back of a great black dragon, laughing manically while pulling off licks of such technical virtuosity that lesser listeners will have their temporal lobes melted.

Throughout this I am wearing bits and pieces of medieval armour. The dragon does vocals.

Little late to this party and starting a quote tunnel to boot, but that's pretty much it, as far as unachievable geeky desires go for me. Any of those three and I'd be good, though I guess I'd also want to be in shape to be any of those things, as it stands a fat geeky kid with glasses wanting to be a jedi has got plenty of competition with the internet as it is.

Now, as far as other geeky desires that go beyond the ^ obvious, I want to simultaneously be a writer/director/producer/editor/artist/lead video game developer/rock star. I-I think, but I'm not sure about this, that not only are my expectations of life are a bit high but also slightly, only slightly mind you, unrealistic.

I want my own AT-ST.

I mean, I'd settle for an AT-AT, but I think an AT-ST would be a lot easier to maneuver in traffic.  And it looks like it would go faster, and probably have better MPG.
