But is Daniel Johns still a dreadful lyricist?

Oh lordy lord yes.

I had already forgotten them. A girl I used to be really good friends with was really into the Vines.

We used to be good friends, see.

The Vines were also called the new Nirvana. They had some pretty good tunes, although when I reviewed their Best Of it was slightly annoying that it advertised their next studio album.

Isn't that what your ex said?

Well, your girlfriend was always better at remembering my conversations with her, so feel free to ask.

Great song is great live.

Be fair, though. Treating We Used to Be Friends as "that Veronica Mars song" is like treating Teardrop as "that House song".

"Santa Monica" is an amazing song and I don't care what anyone says.  I'm also a fan of "Heroin Girl," "Electra Made Me Blind," and to a certain extent "You Make Me Feel Like a Whore."  I could pass on everything else by them though.

Oh Everclear, if only you faded away after this actually-listenable album, it would've spared you embarrassment in the long run. Y'know, before you started writing the same. fucking. song. every. fucking. time.

(that said, I'm not a big fan of the newest album.)

Baha Men
Eiffel Sixty Five
Chumbawumba (as their 1 hit wonder incarnation)
Lou Vega
Screw you, I liked those bands. Except ChumbaWumba, what the hell was that about?

"WHO LET THE DOGS OUT, WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!!"

EDIT:: Have we forgotten Staind and POD yet?

Chumbawumba didn't sing who let the dogs out! They sang "I GET KNOCKED DOWN BUT I GET UP AGAIN YOU'RE NEVER GUNNA KEEP ME DOWN" apart from that song they were an anarcho punk band.

2. You're right, that shitty horrible piece of trash was done by Baha Men.

no-one disses bad religion!!!

This requires some thought. Let me think of some way we can find a gentle consensus of sorts.

If there was credibility in the accuracy of band names, here is how I rate the following groups -

Average White Band
- 100%

American Music Club
- 66.6%

Bad Religion
- 50%

Dude they were second only to The Offspring in how awful a California punk band they were.

Bad Religion had a lot of mediocre material but they had good intentions at least.  They were kind of the Michael Moore of punk.  Their early work, particularly songs like "Superman", is still enjoyable to me.

I winced pretty hard when they did that tour OPENING for Blink-182.

Bad Religion is sort of bad at being punx but I still like them! Greg Graffin is so educated! He uses words like "recompense".

I have a soft spot for Bad Religion just because I used to sing the songs off Stranger Than Fiction when I was like 9 and the idea of a nine-year-old girl singing those angry songs with big words is very funny.

From a different album, but I was basically the same way. My brother was a huge Bad Religion fan in his early teen years and used to play Suffer a lot so I kind of just learned the words when I was like 7.

Greg Graffin is so educated!

I was wondering if it's possible that people already forgot about the thing where someone posted pictures from Graffin masturbating to a chubby underage BR fan over a webcam.

Since then I've pretty much laughed whenever I've heard his name.

They released a hippie album.  It is entirely acoustic and contains zero offensive material.
