Bowling for Soup.
Thread over.
Grammy nominees Bowling for Soup, no less.
I think I'd rather listen to something completely awful like Crazytown than "Breakfast at Tiffany's." At least Crazytown elicits some kind of emotion, unlike Deep Third Eye in Matchbox Playground. The late nineties were easily the
dullest time for popular rock music in America, at least in my lifetime.
Oh hey, what about Incubus? I had a friend in high school that was really into them and I guess they were popular for awhile. Sort of a Korn klone with "meaningful" lyrics.
And then there's the Goo Goo Dolls, who were actually not bad until they blanded out and became popular. And then I thought, wait, do I only think they suck now because they are popular and get played on VH1? But, no, everything after "Boy Named Goo" really is that bland.
