Most impressive speedruns
« on: 10 Dec 2008, 07:31 »

I thought it would be a good idea to post some links to our favorite "SpeedRun" videos.

To the uninitiated (of which I'm sure there are VERY few, SpeedRuns are when you go through a game as fast as possible, using whatever odd game mechanic, glitch, or bug you can to get your time down as low as possible, like beating a 22 hour game in 12 minutes, and such.

First up is this well-known and older than the internet bit of awesome: Super Mario Bros 3 in 11 minutes.

Portal in 33 mins... lost the demo in the big format of december 07 back when I had only 2HDD's.

I know there are much faster people but 33 is my record.

I once saw this really, really fast speedrun of Metal Gear Solid (1).
It easily got him the Big Boss rank and hell, that wasn't even with Bandanna or Camo.

I gotta find it.

Metroid ones are fun.

I donno, pure speed runs are okay but i like the ones with certain levels of completion. When you run by absolutely everthing it's kinda boring (IMO.)  Also, tool-assisted one's are pointless.
