I thought Sin City was over-stylized tripe that attempted to cover up bad writing and poor plotting with niffty visuals. That's just me, but that's why I picked her.
Anyway...
Shia LaBeouf?

Everyone's going to squall TRANSFORMERS. I still haven't seen it so I can't really argue. /shrug

By Jove, I think he's got it.

(I liked Transformers in spite of LaBeouf)

i liked Transformers but only because i closed my eyes, put my hands over my ears and went "lalalala" every time there were human-beings on the screen.

I actually don't dislike Shia LeBeouf. I have only ever seen him in Transformers and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Whilst KOTCS was a massive massive disappointment, (I actually couldn't sleep after it, which has had the effect of my fiance worrying about me tossing and turning all night after a trip to the cinema, but so far KOTCS is the only film that has had this effect), Shia LeBeouf isn't what makes it so bad.

Transformers isn't a great film, but it is a great piece of brain off entertainment, and I quite like Shia LeBeouf in it, I think he made a potentially very annoying character quite likable. I know other people won't agree with that, but I really do think that could have been a much much worse character.

I liked Transformers, being a fan of show(s). My only problem was with Megatron

And Shia LaBoeuf's a great actor. I say give him some time to show more things, show what he can do (rather than be the new upcoming action guy)

Oh yeah, him. He's also in Constantine, and while that movie wasn't all that good, it wasn't his fault. The end of it is worth seeing, though. Even if the best part was taken from the comic.

I'm glad everyone's forgotten about that unfortunate stint on Even Stevens, where he was GODAWFUL ANNOYING. Now that he's grown up and isn't running around screaming all the time, he's maturing into a competent actor. And he is still only in his twenties, which means he has years to improve. So far, he's been a bit beyond average, but definitely not up to ZOMG FANTASTIC status.

i actually really liked Constantine. the editing and camera angles they used...ah so crispy...the whole visual style of the thing was great, if you ask me.

Thankfully Even Stevens didn't make it to Ireland, and if it has, it wasn't whilst I was watching kids tv.

Ok I went through the IMDB to try and find the "best" films those three had been in, cause I haven't seen that much of any of their work, and I think this list might have beaten me

Ashton Kutcher - The Guardian, looks like a generic hotshot rebel in the training acedemy flick, and therefore probably inoffensive, although good might be a push.

Freddie Prinze Jr. - Who I basically know only as Buffy's husband, looking down his list of films, I honestly don't think I've seen any of them, so don't know what he's like as an actor. The best thing on his cv looks like it could be "I know what you did last summer" which face it isn't saying a lot.

Rob Schneider - christ I don't know, Judge Dread?

Kilmer was Jim Morrison. Like, literally *was* him.

Except, like, literally 3/4 of The Doors movie bore no resemblance to the actual history/story of the band.  I hate that movie more than I can possibly say.

(This is an evening for venting my spleen.)

Cant beleive no one mentioned Salton Sea with Val Kilmer. Marky Mark damn near lost all my respect for The Happening. Horrible acting...

Anyways dont know if it counts but they are doing a remake of a "Låt den rätte komma in" (Let the Right One In). By far one of the best vampire movies I have ever seen. Lets just hope the remake doesn't screw it up completly.

trying to pull this thread back on topic...

If I had to choose, I would have to pick watchmen.  I have yet to see anything about Up.  Seriously pixar - if you want me to pay attention to your films, give me a fucking trailer.  The whole "i'ma be mysterious about my next title" shit is getting old, I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU'LL STEAL MY MONEY WITH NEXT.

sorry, /rant.

I have seen Surf Ninjas! Sometime deep in the past! Watching clips of it has stirred memories.

Oh god, this is horrible. This means that someone subjected me to that movie in my childhood.

I actually preferred him on Even Stevens. Funnier, and less boring.

And Dragonball is actually "the one movie next year" which I'm BOYCOTTING. God damn, the injustice that abomination will bring the anime...

I've been wondering about that, who goes and sees these movies on Christmas day?  Everyone I know just spends it with their family...

Jews indeed! We eat Chinese food and go to the movies. I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button on Christmas day.

If we are talking films we can't wait to see, apart from the obvious Watchmen, the one that has me really excited is Public Enemies, Johnny Depp, and Christian Bale, in a Michael Mann film... sounds pretty damn good to me!
