Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could suggest some new music for me to listen to, I've gotten to that point where everything in my library sounds old (and that's no mean feat trust me)
I was wondering if anyone could suggest stuff with a similar vibes to Mogwai, Opeth or The Secret Machines?

Thanks :)

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

If you're looking for stuff somewhat similar to Opeth you should check out Edge of Sanity, Agalloch or Porcupine Tree,

If you like Secret Machines, find Pink Floyd. Also, find Aliens. If you like Mogwai, find Sigur Ros and Godspeed You! Black Emperor (to a greater or lesser extent). I think you'd probably like Hope of the States, too.

There's plenty of great 'old' music out there too you know...why limit oneself due to chronology? Quality music is timeless.

you should check out Agalloch or Porcupine Tree,
This. Porcupine tree has had a pretty big variety in sound, though. Maybe it isn't fair to compare an acoustic lullaby-ish song with one that isn't, but look at "Moon touches your shoulder" compared to "Fear of a Blank planet."
