Christmas Decorations
« on: 19 Dec 2008, 13:45 »

Anyone else make any Christmas decorations? I haven't done so in years but i have quite a lot of time on my hands these days.

I made a snowflake thing. Usually one would use white paper (i made a white paper one too, but didn't take photos of it and gave it to someone)

I didn't have craft glue when making this one and so used super glue. Worst subsitiution ever. I'm an adult, I have a degree yet within 10 minutes of starting to make this I glued my fingers together. Sigh.

Here's my snowflake;

That is really very pretty.  I like it.  Sorry about your fingers, though.  Usually rubbing hand lotion on your hands before you start helps to keep them from getting stuck together when you are using super glue.

gluing your fingers together is like a required course for making stuff. if you don't glue your fingers together, you didn't really accomplish anything at all.

I actually think we're about to decorate our house. We don't make any of ours though.
We really should. I will suggest it.

depending on the company you keep, it can be very fun or a huge pain in the ass. avoid trying craft projects with people who are exceptionally high-strung.

there is not enough christmas in this thread...

this is my tree.  this is crafty because the flag had to attach to support beams (chopsticks) to keep it looking like a flag when put on the tree.  not a great example of artsy-ness.  someone, please do better.
