Funny similarity
« on: 23 Dec 2008, 09:35 »

In the first panel of this strip last week, Penelope's expression looked eerily familiar. It took me until now to realize whom it reminded me of, but now I know - the hair, the eyes, of course! Penelope really is undercover. She isn't Pizza Girl, she's Agatha Heterodyne! :D

Impossible.  She's not nearly as ... well-nourished ... as Agatha.

Mr and Mrs. Foglio prefers to draw their ladies with some generous curves.  3/4 realism makes for some very attractive characters on both sides of the gender split.  If I met a lady like Agatha in real life I think I would be confused as to how she walks without those calves smashing into each other.

On that note: I can't remember if Kaja or Phil actually draws the comic.

P.S. I approve of this Girl Genius reference.

Phil does, and she scripts it, I believe.

FWIW -

A QC reference (along with a number of other webcomics):

QC is on the lower right, behind the musicians.  There is a larger view on an earlier page.

Not at all odd.  That was deliberate.  The Foglios are awesome that way.  Their comic also, at that point, references Dominic Deegan, Oracle for Hire, Randy Milholland's Something Positive, Wapsi Squre, Order of the Stick, and at least half a dozen more.

They were doing what all cool people do; giving a shout out to their homies.
