duplicate punchline in another comic
« on: 17 Feb 2009, 08:11 »

Least I Could Do has the exact same punchline as QC today. Coincidence? Or are a bunch of artists doing this today?

ignoring the fact it is in a completely different context, Awesome is a pretty common and malleable word.

Not ignoring that, it is in fact not the same punchline because the entire context was different.

Sorry Total Recall jokes do not equal emotional bitchslap.

They're both sarcastic awesomes. Tanman was comparing the word and it's use, not the situations. :)

if i had a nickel for every time someone said awesome sarcastically, I'd buy Japan.

I am saying that they are not related by aspect that the context is different.

No one ever said it was related. Two comics both ended in a sarcastic "awesome" on the same day. It was just a funny little coincidence. You don't have to go and buy Japan over it.   :-P

he asked if a bunch of artists were doing it today.

I say no, and any connection you may find is only perceived.
