Still love Dora's new hair. Also, I know OCD has very little to do with logic, but one is exposed to one's own germs all the time. Being in the open air doesn't really help as far as I know. Ah well. Dare I say Hanners looks cute in whatever that suit thing is called?

the haz-mat suit is a classy touch. and doras expression in the last panel was hilarious, in a way that reminds me of girls i know, who tend to call me an idiot and boss me around. fuck. i have no self-esteem. i see where marten is coming from most of the time.

Today's comic is exactly why I love this strip.
Martin's expressions and fear of naked!Hanners, Dora's nonchalance and sweet helpfulness, and Hanner's... hannerisms.
It's just so priceless and perfect.

And I agree, this fixation on getting poor Hannelore naked is much more than a little creepy.

Dora's hair looks great. I think I'm finally starting to get used to her and Marten being a couple instead of Faye. The more laid back she is, the more I accept it. She was kinda high strung before, and she's definitely mellowed out, while still keeping her personality. Nice work, Jeph.

p.s. I know, I know, I kinda held on a little too long to the Marten and Faye thing...I still have hope deep down.

I think that Marten and Faye are actually going to hook up when Dora gets too possessive or something like that.

As much as I hate saying this about a cartoon character...

Jeph's illustration of Dora is of an attractive female archetype. If that were a real person, I would find myself extremely attracted to her.

"Err" is a verb, from which "error" is formed as a noun. <.<

But with Wil and Penelope out of the way for now, the world once again revolves around Hannelore. I utter a mild bleh, let's hope it won't evolve into a vehement bleh throughout the week. :<

I was going to go on a little "they doth protest too much" tirade about people who say lusting after cartoon characters is creepy, but I have made a conscious effort to not be as snarky on the boards as I used to be. However, I do think it's perfectly normal to find cartoon characters attractive, and extremely unfair to persecute people who make a passing comment on how they think a character is pretty/hot, and I think the persecution is caused by a couple people deciding it's creepy and everyone else feeling the pressure not to admit that they see one of the characters as attractive (given all these roundabout ways of saying it trying to sound as "non-creepy" as possible, I've done it myself to avoid the stigma). Now, on the other end of it, it is a little disturbing to see someone on every thread talk about how much they want to sanitarily bend Hannelore over, I don't go around writing up all my kinks on the forum, and neither should you.

So, long story short:

1) it's not weird to find them attractive, so calm down.
2) it is a little weird to post your graphic desires [no pun intended] so publicly, you calm down too.

Basically everyone be calm.
