I just got a call from a guy who used to offer me graphic design jobs, and he wants to pay me to draw all over this basement!

And two out of four places I went to get jobs were pretty excited about my interest! I might be able to get a new job afterall!

Dear Blog thread,

I played the Pianner as a younger me, but I never really took to it.

I want to play the Guitar. But I don't know how I'm going to go about it.

Discu- oops, I mean. Thanks for reading.

Ooh, did it hover over the box?

Actually probably not, I think they need wind to lean into so they can hover and presumably inside the building wasn't very windy.

Nah, it made one swoop overhead to check it out. where I was hiding i couldn't see the trap, however, so I didn't see the real action. I was trying to stay out of the way.

I gave blood today! I missed two classes and lunch to do it, but it was good times. I donated red blood cells, and there was this machine that drew my blood, filtered it, and pumped back everything else. It took forty-five minutes to finish up.
I ate so many Oreos, you guys. So many Oreos.

I got a 6 on both. And yeah it's pretty much the same, though what we have to make isn't so much "weird" as "shit". Weird can work well, but my teachers are ridiculously hung up on Photoshop being the entire future of design work, so anything that isn't overdone to hell "displays a lack of technical skill". You can't make something sleek and elegant, it has to be almost baroque to fill their standards. All last semester I made things I thought was good, but my teachers hated most of it - this time I decided just to make the ugliest most terrible poster ever and I scored a 6. Looks like I'll be making awful things until I graduate.

I just finished stage one of reorganising my music folder. That is to say, that all albums are now in Artist folders.
It took me 8 goddamned hours. I still need to go and retag files for consistency (omg is it "Belle & Sebastian" or "Belle and Sebastian").

What the fuck why did i decide to do this.

Take 5 photographs of your dick becoming erect, 3 of your hand in different positions on it, then the 9th of it ejaculating.

Make the title "Art".

True story:
I once tried to get my friends to take pictures of their various bits(tits, penis, vag, etc) with my polaroid to use the pictures as bookmarks. I thought it was a great idea, and I was totally excited about it. And then I told my friends about it. No one would do it.

I even offered to do it first, and we could trade them. Like trading cards. But still no one was down for it. My friends are lame.

11pm   Get to work
11:00-12:00   Check ins and begin work on posting no shows
12am   Post no shows, keep checking in guests who arrive late
12:20-1:00   Put in order for food
1am   Keep posting no shows
1:15   Check EFOL/PFOL, add EFOL/PFOL codes
2am   Call security or guest services to cover while I eat lunch
See if I can run H.S.I
2:30   Run H.S.I
3am   Eat food, it is now luke warm and crispy from sitting under the heat lamp since ~1am, other departments were busy and couldn't cover
3:00-3:30   Be called out to the front once or twice because a guest is there and security/guest services can't help them
3:30-3:45   Finish eating cold food, go back out front, Run the audit
4am   Wait for part 2 to finish, log back into lightspeed and start checking out guests
4:15-4:30   Folios start printing after audit is done. Call security to have them deliver folios
4:25-4:45   Security makes it to the front desk to pick up folios
5am   Guests start checking out, don't have folios, I fill out reports
5:15   Run RealVu, stopping a few times when guests are checking out.
5:45-6:00   Go over notes for previous night, see if I need to send emails out

7am   Leave

Welcome to what I do at work, and yet they think that having only one person working is okay.

Dear everybody,

Look at the lyrics for the songs I have to sing for Star Academy (my Albanian Idol thing).

http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/sunrise_avenue_lyrics_13615/on_the_way_to_wonderland_lyrics_41123/fairytale_gone_bad_lyrics_445040.html

http://www.asklyrics.com/display/Reamonn/Supergirl_Lyrics/171107.htm

This is what I'm doing with my life. This is the sole reason I am on the side of the planet opposite the one my girlfriend is on. This is what I am potentially sacrificing my sister's university graduation ceremony for this May, if I get that far in the competition.

Maybe I should just kill myself so that the humiliation doesn't get the satisfaction.

Love,
Me

Send them to all the papers just to make sure.

Patrick, I really don't see what you are complaining about. I mean, if I got the opportunity to go on live television and sing "there's no more rabbits in my hat to make things right" then I would be elated. Elated. I think you just need to swallow all your pride and leave the mess behind. As for the girlfriend, don't worry about her. You can see in her eyes that no one is her chi, she's your girl your supergirl.

Blog thread, I had completely forgotten but today is World Book Day and I'm supposed to be having my photo taken for the paper at lunchtime. I have not brought my hairbrush and I washed my hair this morning so it looks like a rat's nest. Blah.

(omg is it "Belle & Sebastian" or "Belle and Sebastian")

This is why I hate Belle and Sebastian.

(I don't really hate Belle and Sebastian)

Yesterday I was hanging out with some friends at a coffee shop. We are probably the whites guys ever.  On the tables next to us, there's a bunch of black guys (like Somalia black). They start making jokes about how they are afraid that me and my friends are Muslim terrorists who would blow them up. One of my friends has a beard and a scarf, and they went on about how his beard were a Muslim beard and his scarf really was a turban. It pretty much made my day. This is why racists are wrong; people from Africa is pretty awesome.

Yeah dude Uni is pretty great. Pretty different to school, in a good way.

I just read a website about grouse (the bird). Not sure why I did this instead of sleeping, which is what I should usually be doing at this time.

"The spruce grouse is also called the fool hen because it is easily caught."

Sucker.

Man why the hell did I assume that the reason it was called the fool hen was going to be because it got easily suckered into bad relationships with lady grouses.

I think it's because (A) it's late, and (B) seeing the word "hen" automatically got my mind thinking of female birds.

Actually literature at Oslo is very popular, in my lit class there is a lot more than 3 people, so I have no idea why the attendance at that lecture was so low. There are way more girls than guys anyway so I guess that's actually even better seen from a guy's perspective though.

(The few guys in the class are way cute, which makes up for it for my part)

Also, I hope you decide on UiO Jens, because then we can HAVE COFFEE TOGETHER EVERY SINGLE DAY, ISN'T THAT GREAT?

I just found out that my advisor wants me to teach the lab for this summer's general micro course. The only problem is that the first summer session is only 3 weeks, and last summer when I taught it during the 6 week summer session for him we had a hard enough time getting through all of the labs. I like the summer sessions because you get to know your students better when you spend a few hours a day with them 4 days a week, but this is going to be a whole fuckton of work. I will most likely wind up grading 3 or 4 lab reports/night.

Dear Blog Thread,

When did working out stop feeling like crap and start making me feel awesome? I hit the elliptical for an hour on Tuesday, and today I did 20 minutes on a recumbent bike and 20 on the elliptical, as well as about ten minutes or so on one of the exercise machines.

Man I feel awesome.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

My secret santa parcel never came :( I think someone stole it.

There's this really handy "other thing" I'm going to write as a footnote to my abstract that I can probably explore these issues in. I think I'll call it my "dissertation."

I barely go out and socialize these days, but whenever I do I meet the nicest people and get asked out. Today my friend dragged me to the pub because there was a gathering for another friend's birthday. I stayed for 40 minutes, and in that space I got approached by not one, but TWO handsome strangers. #1 is a guy named Tim who is on the same course as I am, and I'll have lunch with him next week and then we'll go to the pool together. After we had made the arrangements, I just sat there and stared into space for some time, a little disoriented and confused (this not due to alcohol), and a very pretty, red-haired girl came up to me and introduced herself and asked me out for a drink. I have no idea how this is happening, but I must be doing something right - I like it!

Today I got a text message from my manager (I was off today) that said, "We miss you Lindsey. Check out Vibram.com." I did it just now and I must say what odd shoes that website has. Also, this appears to be what happens when people get bored at work. I'm not sure how she heard about it, unless one of the designers or a person who buys the shoes came in today. I will find out in the morning, I guess.

I'm just glad we don't listen to the radio much anymore, because on my off days it was normal for me to receive a call with nothing but Come On Eileen playing. (My manager hates that song and it always gets played. Always.) My job is so silly, I love it.
