Not when Diablo 3 is coming out in.... not so long, and people will probably stop caring about 2 about then.

Yeah, since Starcraft II just came out and WoW: Cataclysm will probably either come out this Christmas or next, I don't see Diablo III coming out until about 2012.

Except there's literally no not to play ladder unless you have old non-ladder characters.

what happens when you click "run program"? try running it in windowed mode.

I've been playing singleplayer again. The new patch makes doing things like whirlwind barbs so much easier. You can take skills that are useful until you get to 35ish and then respec into whirlwind and it's not such a horrible slog to get there anymore. The removal of Iron Maiden in the chaos sanctuary makes so many more builds viable.

Dear god do I love Diablo II. I think it's one of those games that I'll never stop enjoying the hell out of. Never played online though for no particular reason, so I don't have any souped up characters to bring to the party. That being said, if I can track down my copy, I'd be potentially into this. What characters are people using? I've rarely played as anything other than an Amazon (shades of the rogue, the only character I really played the original Diablo as other than a handful of runs with a warrior; the sorcerer was too hard in the early going for my pre-teen gamer self) although I've beaten it a couple times with a druid (probably the easiest character to win with) and a paladin. Argh just writing this is making me really, really want to play.

if you play on east expansion I can get you from 1-90 in a day and enough gear to start botting

I believe botting is the reason why the ladder is resetting so early. They may update the warden to deal with this wave of hacks that's come about in the past couple of years.
