I must be overly callous or something because I don't understand what they're both so shocked and/or angry about. I mean, is it just me or does Faye look more taken aback there than she was when she watched her dad shoot himself?

People seriously need to stop being so touchy about this kind of thing, being the overpowering voice of logic is just part of Penelope's 'charm'.

Dora's death stare is awesome, but I do think it's a bit over-the-top for the situation. Faye's shocked expression is perfect, though.

I certainly don't think she looks more shocked by Penny's statement than she did about her dad's suicide. Although, I can understand why you might say that. Jeph has gotten better at drawing facial expressions, so perhaps there's more subtly in this strip than there was in the strip showing her memory of her dad's suicide.
