Favorite song by Favorite artist
« on: 25 Feb 2009, 20:01 »

Just wondering what people think of for a favorite song from their favorite artist is.
At the moment my favorite song is The Beginning is the end is the beginning-Smashing Pumpkins
Not of all time but just right now.

Or even an album.  Don't ask me to choose between Ashes Against the Grain or The Mantle (Agalloch) or between Colour Haze, Tempel and All (Colour Haze).  I will hit you.

There are way too many. My favorite song is whichever one fits the moment. That said, there are a couple I come back to.

In My Time of Need - Opeth
In The Aeroplane Over The Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel
Girl Sailor - The Shins
Breathe Me - Sia
Black Cadillacs - Modest Mouse
Ocean Breathes Salty - Modest Mouse
All Time Lows - Hellogoodbye
For The Girl - The Fratellis

Right, I'm not going to be able to finish the list. I keep finding more.

I guess if I went with Silkworm, Miracle Mile would be a definite choice.

Or Garden City Blues. Or The Cigarette Lighters. Or Give Me Some Skin. Or Dead Air. Or I Hope U Don't Survive. Or Don't Look Back. Or Bar Ice.

Goddamnit why you gotta make me do a thing and attempt to find a favorite Silkworm song. It isn't possible!

Tell me PRS didn't steal the name of a guitar model from a Smashing Pumpkins song.

I think it was just a play on words since their other "budget" american-made model is the Mira.

BTW I own a Mira maple top and it's a lovely guitar but JESUS PRS hasn't made a decent bridge pickup since the original HFS. I think I'm gonna swap mine out.

"Guess How much I Love You" by The Lucksmiths has been stuck in my head for the past 48 hours.

But for some reason the first song that popped into my head as an answer for this impossible question was "Everyone is My Friend" by The Owls.  So I guess I'll just go with that.
