Yeah, that one's pretty awesome. Still, I tend to favor the Mauer one just a bit because every time I travel out of the state there's always some dude who asks me about Prince and Fargo.

Oh, and I know that the urge to fellate Mauer has apparently spread outside of Minnesota lately, but has anyone noticed Morneau's stat line? .348 BA, 1.083 OPS and 15 homers. And he's just turned 28, so it is actually somewhat concievable that this is really close to what he is supposed to be. That's as good as anyone not named Albert Pujols and I can't really think of a better compliment. Maybe when Manny gets back I'll have something.

So, i really am unsure of what has gotten into my guys this week. I am bottom of the league in runs scored and near bottom in most batting stats other than k's where i am top.

However, this is apparently oppposites week and i am bringing in the runs, HR and RBI but putting up massive k's (for me anyway). I don't know whether this is good or not as i am up against a certain Mr. Pujols who may conceive this as a personal challenge.

Pretty much everyone but what I've come to think of as my 3 power guys (Morneau, Martinez and Manny Zimmerman) has been slumping hard this week. So the numbers are competitive but the average is pretty terrible. Luckily, my pitchers seem to be coming through this week.

That Mauer commercial was neat, but I still prefer the one with Ortiz and Posada.

That one and the Mauer one are top 5 ever, along with Hip Hip Jorge, Scott Van Pelt and Jimmy Rollins, and Neil Everett Top 10 Anchors.

I think the Y2K one was better than the Federer/Everett one.

EDIT: So today was a pretty good day to have Jon Lester. Finally this week the Sox aces deliver.

Looks like the innings lost by Volquez's sudden return to the DL is going to really bite me in the ass; he was scheduled for two starts this week and there's a decent chance I could miss tying by .1 innings.

Woo, i finally got my 3rd win of the season. First since the 2nd week.

I would like to thank my star players this week:
Matt Holliday (Great turnaround since the appalling start to the season) 7R-2HR-9RBI
Nelson Cruz (As usual) 6R-3HR-6RBI
Andy LaRoche 7R-5RBI
Gavin Floyd 13.2IP-15K-2QS-1W

Also the rest of my pitchers who achieved my best week of pitching as of yet. However, they will need to repeat it this week being up against the Dreadnaught's stellar pitching line-up to stand a chance.

And new boy Andrew McCutcheon who has graced my bench since the start of the season gets his first runout after being promoted into the Pirates starting lineup last week from the minors.

I knew he was streaky when I drafted him, but now I'll just come right out and say that Jimmy Rollins officially makes no god damned sense to me whatsoever. Dude hacked it up for two months solid and then says he figured out what's wrong with his swing and immediately goes 3/4 with a homer against Johan Santana. I realize Santana was having an off night, but still, wtf?

Oh man, Josh Beckett has gotten locked in.

Also, I'd like to extend my most profound thanks to everyone for not noticing that Ben Zobrist was available. Because like, goddamn, the dude is eligible at 3 positions, and is hitting for power and average and driving in a lot of runs all of a sudden. Thank you Rays starting infielders for being unable to stay healthy!

It's gotten to the point where I think it'd be kinda impressed if my team managed to whiff 70 times this week. I mean, nobody's done worse than that yet, right? 10 strike outs in one day is a big hill to climb, but it's not entirely impossible either...

Yeah, I just checked and was amazed to spot a few high 70s along with an 80 and an 81.

Shit, I think I'd have to pick up Chris Davis again and bench Morneau to have a shot at that.

I did drop him a month ago. He just didn't get picked up, so I blew a bench slot I didn't particularly need on him again. If he did better, fine, if not, fine.

It's a knock at how bad my team is this year, plus how hapless the Nats are (check my team logo for details on the intentional misspelling).

This is quite clearly not a game of skill, or thought whatsoever.  I know next to nothing about baseball, did autopick, messed up my roster, and hardly keep track of it (except until recently when I thought it was hilarious that my team was doing well).  I don't know what most of the stats are or what the categories actually mean, but I know the numbers on the right are the score.  That's all I care about.  =)

Man don't even joke about that.  One of my best relievers through the first seven weeks of the season got relegated to AAA last week.

And then there was the fantasy football season where I lost pretty decent backups trying to get Tiki Barber and Marshall Faulk, not knowing that they had both retired.

I'm glad to say that, so far, Todd Helton is the only guy I've dropped who I've regretted. Everyone else has either sucked even harder or improved for a week or two before shitting the bed all over again (I'm looking at you, Chris Davis and Carl Pavano).

It'd be kind of nice to have Okajima and Saito back, but there's really nobody in my pitching that I'd move to put them back, so I'm content.

Yeah, I would never have touched Chris Davis after you dropped him if it weren't for Manny's suspension and a dreadful suspicion that I could end up with a real power outage. If Davis had simply batted a .220 or .230 during his stretch on my team I would have gladly lived with it in exchange for the homers and the RBIs that would come with them thanks to that stacked Texas lineup. Instead he actually managed to bump his strikeout rate up to 40%. That's so amazing that frankly I'm not even really mad.
