As some of you know, my wife bakes me a birthday cake every year. She plays to the audience and can get quite creative with them. Seriously, I could care less about my birthday except that she makes it fun to look forward to. Here are some examples of cakes she has made me.
First one she ever made for me.
My Rubber Piggy!
A return to the Cthulhu theme
This next cake I can't really say enough about it. But just imagine this cake being brought out for a group of a dozen or so people and seeing their faces once it was revealed and the music started.
This year she still went nerd, but she went after my board game nerdery and it ended with great success.
She used sugar cookies for the tiles, glued with icing to the tops of cupcakes. The grass Forest and grain are obviously just icing. The sheep are yogurt covered raisins. Clay is French Burnt peanuts. Ore is a mixture of cookies and cream hershey's bar and crushed Oreos. She used icing sprinkled with raw sugar for the desert and fruit jellies for the Robber.
She put the numbers in the right order, used the right number of each tile and everything. The best part is this... read the letters on the number tiles, but start with the 5 grain at the very bottom and read counterclockwise in a spiral.
Great wife or the greatest wife?
