On a rather sad note: http://www.google.com/trends?q=porn&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0

Porn search spikes before Christmas. Every year. So when everyone has happy get-togethers with their families, a lot of sad men spend their time crying and fapping while dreaming of a family and/or a girlfriend to spend Christmas with.

I find it a tad surprising that the three-week old story has only been viewed 1050 times (when I read it).

China probably blocked the site so no one that is actually affected by it could know about it.

Also I would like to point out that the combination of Sailor Moon and faux-Kerouac / Sonic Youth spelling is perhaps the purest distillation of what this forum is that we have yet been presented with.

It's okay, 2009 doesn't have a World Cup in it so it's not a real year.

Nor a Eurocup or an olympics.

That basically makes all odd years not real years.

What I find most worrying is that 7 out of 10 of the cities that searched for that most were in the British Isles.
(Though it could be because of Ladyboys of Bangkok, does they have that anywhere else?)

I think I read somewhere that male to female transexual porn was one of the most common (might have been the most common, can't remember but it was surprisingly popular) subgenres(?) for straight men.

News Network fight

It's amusing that the biggest spike was when CNN did their "hologram" thing.

Check out the 'emo is dead' article slightly before the start of the decline of the popularity of emo. Nice call, Contra Costa Times.

A victory for feminism?

Amusing that the death of George Carlin has seemingly been pretty much the only thing to inspire proper news sources to say cunt. Also, I wonder what that christmas 2007 spike was about.

EDIT: http://www.google.com/trends?q=Two+Girls+One+Cup&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0

This is a powerful tool for social research. Why are we misusing it so?
