Damn, I wish all the Geogaddi vinyl on eBay wasn't so expensive. I find it kind of odd that everyone puts set prices for most Boards of Canada vinyl - don't people usually auction that kind of thing?

Oddly enough, it was my first stop to get that one Stan Getz/Bob Brookmeyer album.

It'd take a miracle for me to find this in a record store. Any suggestions?

Just got my copy of Marrow Of the Spirit yesterday.

Awesome artwork, not so awesome design for the lyrics booklet. I don't care how good it seems in theory, dark grey on black isn't a good choice for font color and background.

Anyone any experience with shipping overseas with Economy Air Mail? I'm really considering getting this LP of Throbbing Gristle's Heathen Earth, but it ships from Japan. I think it's worth it, though - second press and pretty good condition, and it's around 60 dollars with shipping. It's just that that's the best shipping option they have, and I'm not convinced it's safe.

I have once or twice, generally prefer EMS but sometimes people won't offer it.  I've never had any packages lost or damaged, so in my experience it's been fine.

"Petitioning the Empty Sky" by Converge
"When Forever Comes Crashing" by Converge
"Danger Days..." by My Chemical Romance
"Punkgasm" by Don Caballero
"The Red Sea" by Isis

Today's been a very good day!

Recently found a copy of Yaphet Kotto's The Killer Was in the Government Blankets. Pretty great catch since it's 1st press on clear green, although the cover is a bit worn.

Scratch that, it's a 2nd pressing.

Last week in Vancouver, whilst wandering with Tania and my lady Ruby, we found a super cool record store called Dandelion Emporium, and proceeded to spend so much time there I felt I could scarcely leave without buying something, so I copped this

Just got a shitload of vintage vinyl from my parents attic.  Highlights:

The Best of Earth, Wind, and Fire, Vol. 1. - Earth, Wind, and Fire
Summertime Dream - Gordon Lightfoot
and an epic folk/bluegrass record entitled "The Moose Wallow Ramblers", by a band with the same name

Also just purchased

The Tyranny of Distance - Ted Leo and The Pharmacists
Shake the Sheets - Ted Leo and The Pharmacists

and I have been listening the shit out of both of them.  TED LEO IS SO GOOD.

Neghantil - 1990-1996. I will admit, I bought this mostly for the design of it, but the music is pretty good too. Weird sort of post-industrial stuff. That small metal thing thing is a lapel pin, and it also comes with six collage prints. It's a physical media fetishist's dream.

Speaking of Polyvinyl purchases, here's the loot that came with my Starfucker preorder!

-Starfucker - Reptilians clear vinyl (with free dl code)
-Starfucker poster (which I'm bringing to the gig in April and hopefully getting them to sign)
-Joan of Arc - Boo Human promo CD
-Asobi Seksu poster
-Polyvinyl sampler playlist "Winston's Essentials" free dl
-Airheads (White Mystery flavor!)

if only my turntable wasn't in desperate need of a new needle, I'd be spinning this bad boy all day.

Damn thats some cool shit. I did get a piece of paper telling me to buy STRFCKR as soon as possible, but dude its like another shit load of USD to deliver to the UK.

Posters are crazy cheap though, and they're doing BOGOF CDs at the moment...very tempting.

Winston's Essentials is pretty good, some nice tracks on there (especially one from Somone Still Loves Your Boris Yeltsin's newest album).

Deerhoof sticker now resides on my guitar case, indiecred please.
