Just caught up on twitter; am excited about Hannelore getting dragged into COD-employeeship.  Though she's right...she'd have to learn to not get caught up in counting too often.

My father had a detached retina, and since lasers hadn't been invented, his eye was removed.  The creepiest thing I remember from that time was when the health visitor came round with a box a trays of artificial eyes for him to try on, with subtly different iris colours and patterns, all neatly sorted.

Actually, she asked for the temporary use of the apartment.

And she accepted the glasses only because Maten's health plan covered them.

And yes, Angus - buying glasses for your coffee server is creepy and inappropriate.  If you wouldn't do it for your server at Scrawny Ronnie's don't do it here.

But the dude at Scrawny Ronnie's doesn't bring unto Angus the chalice of Life and Vitality—at least that what one friend called a cup 'o  Joe.

Seriously, I'm afraid Angus has it bad for Faye. Bad as in this can have no positive outcome for him, and all you miserable Sven-Faye shippers can rejoice, because Angus has every sign of throwing himself on the pyre that feeds the engine of that train wreck. Last American Virgin bad. (God, I hate that movie.)

And if this does play out that way, I'm gettin' out my dartboard with the Sven picture pasted to it again. Only I may have to add Faye to it and start pallin'* hanging** around with Mr. Skawronska.

*Is palling spelled with one l or two?
Edit: I made the dartboard after these two strips: 1264 and 1307
** Border Reiver made me do it.

I could not help but read today's comic and shout "Angus! Abort! Abort! You are too deep in friendzone territory! pull back to the main lines!"

here's better wording:
In this strip, read each of Faye's responses without reading Angus' - it's not very positive at all. She's keeping to the backbeat until the last panel, where she's changing the topic so it's a joke.

Angus however seems earnest and excited, which strike me as the worst possible things to be in that situation.

Poor sod. Why he'd find Faye so alluring in the first place... O.o

Female - of a body shape and apparent personality type that that particular male finds attractive.

Her initial responses to his clumsy advances are rebuffed, leading to a desire for the "forbidden fruit".

And now he's on a rebound.

Or he's just a horny guy who sees a cute girl.

When I was attending University in Guelph, we used to do this behind the residence I was living in.  The problem we had was that the hill we were traybogganing on was not perfectly smooth and snowy.  The result was that one of our sledders ran over a small rock on his tray.  Of course, it being winter, the plastic tray had become rather cold and brittle.

He spent the night in the hospital having shards of tray removed from his rear end.

We didn't do any more traybogganing.

Next winter I am totally starting a league or something cos this game sounds awesome.  I wonder if it would work with snowboarding instead of sledding.

I can't decide whether Marten's expression in panel two of the alternate strip is happy or nervous.

Maybe it's both.

This came up before. There's a community college in South Lake Tahoe, and another near Lassen, but there aren't any 4-year colleges anywhere where snow sticks to the ground, you'd have to drive to it. Maybe in the QCVerse, they're dealing with Global Cooling instead.
