I just got the image of a midwife and a woman giving birth swinging towards each other on a trapeze - when they meet, the midwife pulls the baby out. The knife juggler is standing on the floor and cuts the umbilical cord with a a knifethrow.

I am against it though. Who in their right minds are for it, anyway?

We can't afford to be neutral on a moving train.

People who realize that we should be moving forward and not back the way you people want it, with your slavery and orgies and whatnot.

Perhaps those who actually know what they're taking a stand for, instead of just following a trend of rebelliousness?

I do know what I'm taking a stand for. And if you completely understood the issue, you would realize that being against it is the best way.

I am more against than you all possibly imagine, so incredibly against that every fiber of my being screams out at the very thought that I  could possibly be for.

I have hereby decided that I am above all of it, and if you would like to reach me, I will be over there, discussing the merits of being for that, instead.

According to the current Book of Order, the PC(USA) respects the right of those who oppose the measure, while directing that inclusive language and worship be used in order that all may take part. To this end, those for the measure are encouraged to act out their support with creative dance during the Offertory hymn.

Which side produces the most visually impressive television adverts? I'm an easily-swayed voter and I expect to be force-fed opinions through the medium of moving pictures.

There's this really handy "other thing" I'm going to write as a footnote to my abstract that I can probably explore these issues in. I think I'll call it my "dissertation."
