Ok I'm mildly freaked out here. I think Jeph took me, changed my name for privacy, and added the glasses I've always wanted. I love computers, I raid in EQ2 and have tried numerous other MMOs, I'm a slob, I love Yaoi, I used to watch Inuyasha, and Pocky is the food of gods. I hope this one is at least semi permanent. Annnnddd, I think any value towards this topic that could be extracted from having a bunch of people textually lust over you has been eliminated. To things that matter:

Marigold herself - She's a kind of interesting character, but I can't see her ever having as big of a role as most of the others. Not only would most characters probably find her surly and unpleasant, but most content that could be extracted from her would be video game references, and this is a (vaguely) music-based comic.

Although Jeph stating several times how interesting he finds her, as well as her apparent relation to Angus could be interesting. We'll see, I suppose.

There is precedent for the cast establishing good continuing relationships with a surly unpleasant person.

Also the possibility is open that Marigold was just in a bad mood.

I have no doubt that when I'm moving out, my future room will be about as tidy as that, and the personal hygiene can also be improved on, but that's probably as far as the likeness goes with the typical gamer/student.

Well I had to register to talk about Marigold. I've been following QC since 2004, religiously and I had the urge to come say that Marigold might be an stereotype (exaggerated version) of myself (and it seems many others).

I'm past the acne phase (never really had one, am 30 years old now), my house is not messy (I'm a married lawyer) and I'm perfectly normal and sociable, except, like Marigold there, I'm a gamer (been playing WoW for 2 years, although am cutting back now 'cus I bought Oblivion for my PS3 and 'cus The Sims 3 is coming out soon) and a total Otaku, I watch anime and read manga pretty much everyday, am always following something.

So my inner self is a Marigold I guess. All I mean by all that is that she's awesome.
