I MUST say that I rather enjoyed Faye's facial expression in panel 2 more than the last two. The look of utter shock is PERFECT. Kudos Seńor Jacques for making me have to bite my tongue in order to not laugh loud enough to wake my household up.

Yes, Angus likes it when Faye is snarky, but having someone rip on superficial stuff is different than having someone rip on something you might really find embarrassing. I would think that, for a guy especially, having someone you are interested in rip on you for crying over something you might normally roll your eyes at someone else crying over, would sting pretty hard.

If Faye's eyes get any bigger, a weird Japanese theme song will start playing while dragons and spaceships fly through the shop windows. Riding one of the dragons will be Pintsize, Winslow and the Roomba, of course. This will anger Faye, who's mood will be reflected in the multiple veins popping out of her forehead and the wall of flame that spontaneously erupts behind her, while Momo-tan appears solely for the purpose of displaying the obligatory sweat-drop effect.

Is all of that bizarre enough for a QC anime intro, or am I missing something?

Yeesh, at the rate I've sent out resumes since the last time I was employed, Penny would be stripped down to her skeleton by now.

I feel your pain. I think I've sent out at least a gross. Out of those, a handful got further than the initial interview, at which point they said they wanted someone with more experience to work first-level help desk. (Right because you need a master's degree and a laundry list of certifications to reset Active Directory passwords all day.)

Damn you, companies who want 50 years of working experience for entry-level positions (ie all of them). Damn you all.

Let me help you with that damning.      Another annoyance is they want to pay skilled techs, programmers and machine setups $8.50 an hour on top of the fact you have to have the alphabet soup of qualifications.

If you can keep fighting while you're both completely nude, it's probably serious. The rest of your arguments, though, will have a happy ending.

So the first two panels, with a detailed architectural background, set up the expectation of "this is realistic".

Which was a great setup for panel 3, which was so funny because of the contrast.

I like how the letter S seemed to be pushing him.
