Does anyone else fondly remember this show?
http://www.the-state.com/I bought mine online and I loved watching the old episodes and listening to the commentary tracks.
It's really amazing the kind of stuff that people can come up with when it's an ensemble cast of 11 people and they are doing nothing but sketch comedy. It's a shame that nobody else has done a show quite like this since. Of course there have been really good sketch shows like Mr Show with Bob and Dave but I have always had a soft spot for the State.
Plus I thought their opening credits and song were cool.
The other thing that I found out from the DVD was just how horrible the reviews for the show were. I mean back then I was a young whippersnapper so I didn't really read or care about reviews but the first season was getting like NEGATIVE 2 stars. Amazing.
