The problem with your "conviction" in this argument is twofold. Firstly, you purport the flawed premise that we're just snobs who are too quick to judge your show. A show that's "fine, for what it is," whatever you mean by that. All this ties to the "judging whilst being judgmental" comment Alex mentioned. Secondly, you make it sound like you'll only enter a discussion like this when you've already made up your mind. When you're unwilling to change your views. That's the impression I get from your comments in this thread, at least.

Oh no, Im not saying you are too quick to judge a show. Im saying you watched a show that isn't targeted to you with the full intention of not liking it and then came here to say I hated it first/the most.

And two, whatever I 'make it sound', I bear witness to these discussions and am generally unsurprised about the contents. Generally speaking I have nothing to add so I dont post. But sometimes in extreme cases I feel the need to pipe up and say something, about the discussers rather than the discussion. When I entered this thread there were, for the most part, two types of posts. Posts that consist of I hate it because it is just like Family Guy/American Dad (which deserves a resounding durrrrr), and posts that consist of IT SUXXXXXX (though very slightly more glib).

And I would love to pull up some search history but the advanced search is kind of broken for me so all I found was this which is a bit interesting since the show is as it always was.

Can we dislike it because it's bad, not because it's a lot like Family Guy?

McFarlane, to me, is like the Stephenie Meyer of television.

Stephenie Meyer is the Seth Macfarlane of literature.

Am I the first person to think that Cleveland's mustache looks like someone crapped it into place?

Saw an episode of this. It was like watching Family Guy.

So it was a lot like watching American Dad ?

That's a lot like watching the Cleveland Show.
