Scott Pilgrim Movie vs Michael Cera
« on: 07 Aug 2009, 12:01 »

Now, I've read all of the Scott Pilgrim books so far and I can safely say that it's an okay read.
One of my favorite directors is directing/cowriting a film version of the books, which makes me very very happy.
On the other hand, Scott Pilgrim is being played by Michael Cera.
Yes, Michael Cera was cool and original when he was playing George Michael, but after that he just did a slight variation of that character for every movie he did after arrested development. I have viewed the several video blogs for the film version and it makes me happy to see that just about everything else seems to work, but I still have extremely high doubts about Mr. Cera's performance.

I am pumped for this. I'm not too worried about Cera having the role of Scott Pilgrim, it's not like he's a majorly over enthused character in the books. In my mind the character is basically like what he did in Superbad, but more into indie, fights robots and lesbian ninjas.
