Ok yeah I had no idea who simply red was before this post.

I now feel very bad for introducing you to the horror.

it's not exactly difficult to discern my favorite band from this :P

Is it Amon Amarth? I think it's Amon Amarth.

I accepted your friend request btw.

mm

it's not quite as incredibly metal-centric as it might appear at a glance

Why do I always get some variation of "Opeth, Cynic, Bloodbath" with so many people who like metal? OH, I guess they're popular right now...

Except for Opeth, I haven't listened to all that much by those bands (if it was me you were referring to)

Your musical compatibility with Damnable_Fiend is Very High

Music you have in common includes Nightingale, Opeth, Cynic, Bloodbath and Saint Vitus.

I like them all of course. Saint Vitus is especially awesome. I don't listen to Opeth or Bloodbath much anymore. However I will keep seeing Opeth live when they tour here.

mhm, Opeth are probably my favourite band to see live.  Mikael is hillarious.  For instance, the last time I saw them, at one point he started playing Summer of 69, and got the crowd to sing along.

I'm from the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

I guess we went to the same show... I was at the front near the right side, by Mendez. People were pretty pushy, but it was a great show for sure. Best song was either Closure or Godhead's Lament. They're getting all psychedelic and jammy with Closure, which is badass.

ooh, I must've been right beside you (or very nearly anyway) haha.  If you have any memory of the night, I'm the scrawny red haired guy who managed to get pushed right to the very front part way through.

well then, you don't mind if I friend you on last.fm?

oh, and seeing as you like doom (ie. Saint Vitus) did you see that OM are coming to town?

Yeah, go ahead.

Also, for some reason people think we all listen to Animal Collective and Neutral Milk Hotel 24/7...
