Are we to assume then that Pitt's character is a stand-in for Tarantino throughout the film?
Not particularly. But the fact that he says that and the *bam* cut to credits leads me to believe he might have been being cheeky. He's certainly the type to have a high opinion of himself, and he
was working on this film for a long time (since Jackie Brown day, I think?).
