April '05? Oh god nearly five years.

I really can't remember what was going on then, except that I'd probably be ashamed of who I was. It was pre-DON'T BE STUPID. I remember a mod party where mods all got drunk together and I forget the rest. I remember the being stupid that lead to DON'T BE STUPID. I remember taking a couple of long hiatuses.

I remember Perth forumite Jenno, Australian forumite James among many others.

For the record, there are several of us who've always used our actual name. BrittanyMarie mentioned herself, and I've never changed my username, and as far as I know johnny C has always been johnny C. And then there's that other guy, ptolemy or something.

January 11th, 2007.

I remember being a terrible stupid goddamn newbie for my second semester of college, left for the summer, came back and made a second I'm new thread.

Somewhere along the line I made a thread about breaking through a door to my freedom where everyone got pissed that I declared myself badass of the week (which I totally was). I think I had like 100 or so posts at the time.

Pets! thread, Any Rat Fanciers Thread, Bright Copper Kettles and Warm Woolen Mittens, Night Lights and Teddy bears... YOU! YOU BETTER NOT BE SOBER! just started.

I started a thread in the music forum about wanting to listen to more metal or something, and then never ever went back.

We started Tribal Wars around that time, someone else started my account. Thinking back we had a hell of a good run on what was it, World 6?

I lurked for quite some time, then spent the grand majority of the time I posted making small comments on other people's posts or trying to say something funny that didn't make me out to be an idiot.

And I also make a point of trying my best not to piss any of the mods off. Or anyone off, for that matter. That led to me being not particularly well-known, which I am ok with.

Oh yeah that was going down practically the day I joined. I don't even recall seeing the photos, I just recall the minor hoopla right after I joined.

My first post in the Sandbox (posts before that were comic discussion, doesn't count) was to marvel about people who don't know how to use chopsticks. I'm pretty sure I've done that a couple times since too, way to get the ball rolling on me saying the same thing over and over.

I started lurking around May of that year, heretic had just registered and was a Big Star and he's like the only guy i mention because if i start remembering more then i will be here for a while, and plus I didn't post so none of those folk know who I am? Then I think I traveled that summer? so then I came back and then the Sandbox was closed and there was a new forum and people didn't heed by its title and then there was a NEW NEW forum within three months and tania had started posting too and she was like new and young and i don't know. i've been here way too long. i was thirteen then.

Heather was just about to move to Australia, Jeph and Cristi were still kind of a new thing and still hung out on the internet sometimes, and some day in the not-so-distant-future I would get on IRC and end up dating Dan for a bit. I had not yet been to Glasgow, Tommy did not live in the country next to ferocious monsters, and fruitkat had never been to America.

I hung around in the Weekly Comic Talk section sporadically for a few months. Then I remember Tybalt showing up with his crazy avatars and a whole big fuss about the weekly comic polls getting shut down. Actually I first ventured out of the shallow end of the forum when my girlfriend made a thread in the music forum and Khar called her a streeteamer. When I finally found my way to I Like Hurrrrr Gilead was being awesome all the time, but I think I might have been a bit late to that party.

I first joined in the summer of 04, a week before or a week after Julia, can't remember which. Devils_Daughter was big on the forums at tha time.

Then I joined in December of 04, and Jaret posted a lot, and sideways and aphi and something witty was a huge creep.

Then I joined a couple times a month for about two years.
Then I was a mod.
Then I got banned.
Then I got banned again.

Then I joined again!

When I joined the first time I thought the Internet was really super awesome, please, and I think I was like 16? Now I am almost 22 and I kind of hate the Internet but it is in my fuccin blood and all. And sometimes I try to make the board awesome again but I think that if I do I will just get banned again.

The problem is that you're not being provocative enough. Don't be afraid to show a little bit more skin, maybe more photos of your bare chest. Try talking a little more seductively.
