Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
« on: 09 Sep 2009, 18:06 »

So didnt see a thread for this (if I missed it, point me too it!)
Never played the first one but this 2nd one looks awesome.  It appears to be the events of the Marvel civil war.  SO basically you form a team and fight other superheros.

Pro-Reg is Ironman and Mr. Fantastic

Anti-Reg is Capt. America and Luke Cage.

You pick a side and recruit other marvel heroes like deadpool, spiderman, human torch, etc.  It also appears to be a 4 player co-op game, making me think of the old Ninja Turtle arcade game were you and 4 buds fight baddies on a map together.  Looks like an interesting game and it releases next week.

The first one was a terribly boring dungeon crawler with crap graphics that were hard to see even on my damn 42" plasma tv, but it looks from the screen shots that this one will be pulled a bit closer and what I've heard of the gameplay it has somewhat improved. I'm hoping, but I'm not too optimistic.

Thank God I'm not the only one who thought this.  My last roommates kept insisting that it was a good game.

I enjoyed the X-Men Legends game. Which was the precursor to this series. Dunno if I'll get this though.

I actually had Xmen Legends 2, and enjoyed it, it was better than MUA by quite a bit.

again never played the first one, and by the sound of it, probably a good thing i didnt.   I just want to get with some friends, pick our favorite marvel characters, and play it in the style of the old arcade games.

I like MUA1, but that may have been because I was blinded to the sub-par gameplay by OMFG DEADPOOL

The Xmen games and MUA1 were pretty fun when played with friends. Just messing around and trying to do the combomoves a lot and stuff.
Fastball special ftw.

I'll most likely be playing this one as well.
