Poor Angus, he caught a broom to the face.
It's a common hazard in his line of work, I'm sure.

he felt obliged to explain what he meant!

Clearly one of the biggest crimes around here, eh?

Personally, today's comic with Marten going "dang" and not having much to say about Faye, just.... I mean, everyone keeps saying "I miss how QC used to be with Faye and Marten sassing each other", but today REALLY just... shows a good example of how it's changed.

And I want Sven's longer hair back along with the glasses, actually.

... Quoting two posts ahead, but yes that is a sweet sentiment.

Hmmmm, what the hell just happened... I just wrote another word for "giggling" and it replaced it with a sentence calling me an ignorant fucktard. I'm going to test that:

Test:

sniggering

Unless there was a specific incident in the past of a troll using that word in an obviously inappropriate manner, that's taking political correctness a bit far....

Apparantly not that one...

Daaaaaaang.

Dora's boobs are getting bigger.

Dang, our little goth girl's all growin' up!  *sniff*!

Actually, she's always had a fair set, even in the old artwork.  She just always compared 'em to Faye's and Raven's, and felt ... ummm... dwarfed?

Now, for IBTC* members, Hannelore's the one to beat!

Mom's actually a hidden HIME   :D

I think that Marten really doesn't have any idea what to say at this point.  He's friends with both of them and his girlfriend happens to be one of his friends sister - kinda puts him in a difficult spot.

I thought his reaction was more Klingon than German

Now I'm curious, time for an experiment! I'm doing this purely for scientific purposes, to see the relative insultingness and whether its related to specific groups.

Which words get replaced by some sort of "I am an idiot" sentence:

Bitch
Cunt
Fuck
Shit
Fag
Faggot
Slag
Slut
Whore
Nigga
Retard
Asshole

Anything I've missed? Just curious.

Err, for the record,  "schadenhorny" is not a german word.

We dont say "horny", we say "geil". Or "gickerig" if you're a swiss.

And no, "schadengeil" ist not in use either.

It would be funny if the taboo list were expanded and inadvertantly included the string'fuck'

That way, if anyone used a forbidden string, the forums would collapse into a recursive singularity

What I find kind of amusing is how as you get closer to this group the more chaos seems to follow you. At least looking at Angus, he was a professional strawman, now he gets run over, in order, by squirrel, anthro-PC and angry female roommate.

Dora can be really annoying...
Admittedly there are times when I think she overreacts in a big way, but in this case I can see where she's coming from. We've got her brother (who she doesn't always approve of but being her brother she cares for) and her best friend at odds and she's stuck in the middle caring for both. When coming up for a solution, discussion and support of the issue from her boyfriend, and his sole response is "dang" (and I TOTALLY empathize with Marten here - there's nothing you really can say) it's a let down to something you've been trying to sort out.

Dora's got issues, but overall I really like her ^^

But what can you say, really?  It is an issue that you have to just let the involved parties work out on their own.

As to Sven's red eyes: I noticed that, but I thought maybe he has been crying. Secretly. While writing more bad country songs.

I am with the folks hoping for some kind of attempt by Sven to regain Faye's regard. I know I said that last week. I'm just sayin' it again!

Strangely the song that I keep getting in my head, when I read the Sven strips, is "Yesterday" by the Beatles...surely that's somewhat the way he must be feeling right now, when he's not being ribbed by a sister or putting on a brave face for the world.

The "Dang" Alternate was dad-gummed funny. Maybe even dad-blasted funny, dagnabbit.

Music (on my playlists) that says it's 'ovah':
If Love Is A Red Dress (Maria McKee)
In a Lonely Place (The Smithereens)
Occasionally (Melissa Etheridge)
Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' (Journey)

And of course, if I you want to be psycho about it
Can't Stand Losing You (The Police)
Blood and Fire (Indigo Girls)

And that's just the tip of the icy death that ate the Titanic.
Somehow, though, I think "Frozen Love" (Buckingham Nicks) works better for Sven and Faye. I wish Lindsey and Stevie would reissue that.

also, 'yeah that sucks, but there really isn't much else to say beyond "that sucks" ' kinda sums up a lot of the drama i've been observing in my friend-circle.  The just sitting there afterward moments are pretty lame.

Shame, shame.....today's comic was still pretty funny, though.

latex paint is an emulsion, so the water is by definition not a solvent.

Or the MUDDs I used to play on—in between D&D games—until I realized making one's equipment rent was really rather like an unpaid job.

If it weren't for the title of the strip, I'd swear Hanners has a case of nervous chatter.

Hanners loves numbers, and if Marigold got her into wow, she'd become obsessed with theroycrafting I'd bet lol

That or Hanners get so obsessed with the numbers that she sucks the fun out of it for Marigold.

Hannelore's level of OCD + WoW = much potential amusement, pitiful comedic, and downright scary moments.

It would be a good for either a long-term side-gag, or something to fill the void left by Deathmøle's current hiatus as something to do.

...or both.
