Oh.

Well.

Hmmm.

I guess I'm one, but not of anime or anything like that.

Otaku of Hockey?

I think sports fanatics are still called 'nuts.' So you're a hockey nut.

Anyone here remember Archie Campbell's "Hockey Here Tonight" routine? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdeKBE3AaiA

I am an otaku and trust me we don't act like that.

being called an otaku already means the person is fucked up.. so yea, they do act like that. and if you dont, then you arent an otaku. you're just a fan of anime.

The really tragic thing about otaku is that actual japanse people hate them.

On the other hand, Ged had an otak as a familiar, so that's kind of cool.

how does this picture make you feel:

I suspect "that doesn't look like her at all, the art style is all wrong" isn't really a better reaction than the one you were going for.

When discussing the topic of "otaku," there are several facets of this subculture that can be examined.

The obsession with two-dimensional fictional characters. The inability to relate to other people, particularly

the opposite sex. The cruel ironic joke that is moe, eliciting the desire to protect and provide from the people

least capable of even taking care of themselves, a poisoned fang that keeps them from forming real personal

relationships and distances themselves from reality, sucked further into the cynical economic machine that

 preys on unpopular men.

Ya know, Heavyoak, yelling "NO U" at every description of otaku that comes up isn't a very convincing way to persuade people that you aren't one...

So really,

YES, YOU!!

Three pages, wow! :-o

And the beat goes on,
The beat goes on...

here come the drums, here come the drums!

So here it comes, the sound of drums!
(Here come the drums, here come the drums)

Baby, baby, baby
You are my voodoo child, my voodoo child
Don't say maybe maybe
It's supernatural, I'm comin' undone

Baby, baby, baby
You are my voodoo child, my voodoo child

You're like voodoo baby
You just take hold
Put your cards on the table baby
Do I twist, Do I fold?

You're like voodoo honey
All silver and gold
Why don't you tell me my future?
Why don't I sell you my soul?
So here it comes, the sound of drums
(Here come the drums, here come the drums)

[Chorus:]
Baby, baby, baby
You are my voodoo child, my voodoo child
Don't say maybe maybe
It's supernatural, I'm comin' undone

[Chorus]

You're like voodoo baby
Your kisses are cold
Feel your poison running through me
Let me never grow old

You're like voodoo honey
My pictures you stole
You play me like a puppet
Sticking pins in a doll
So here it comes, the sound of drums
(Here come the drums, here come the drums)

[Chorus][x2]

Woo!
Here come the drums, here come the drums

[Chorus]

Baby, baby, baby
You just take hold
Don't say maybe, maybe
Do I twist do I fold?
