i don't mean this to be a dig at you or anything, but i think that's one of very few positive things i've ever heard you say about anything.

I'm glad that you like it!

p.s. Somehow, it just keeps getting better as it goes on, so you're in for a treat if you're new to the show.

This season has been classic!

Milksteak and jelly beans. "Kitten Mittens". Wrestling gone horrifically awry: "I knew this shit wasn't fake."

There is no finer comedy on television at the moment.

If season 5 is better than the start of season 4 I will probably die. The episodes are really formulaic but I really can't fault the stupid idea, bitter rivalries form, everything spirals out of control format. I think I almost cried during The Gang Solves The Gas Crisis, and little touches like Charlie's teeth falling out and Mac being obsessed with the wedding dress in the next episode are amazing.

The Gang Solves The Gaz Crisis was completely hilarious! I rented the fourth season from the library yesterday, and I never laughed that much.

So many great episodes. Dumpster baby has to be my favorite because of the side plot with Charlie and Frank becoming trash men. Also, the line where Charlie says: "We'll sleep in this dumpster!" and Frank goes "I'm not above that!"

Speaking of The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis, I was forced to see New Moon this weekend and the whole time I kept hearing in my head 'Y-you want 'em to think you're gonna take a dump?' whenever they would use their angry faces.

It's actually an episode which centers around Charlie writing a play called "The Nightman Cometh" and the gang putting it on.

Yeah they do a live on stage version of that episode with the entire Nightman Cometh play which was cut down for the episode.

So I've watched a few episodes of this show now and it strikes me that I'd find it a whole lot funnier if they'd slow down and not constantly talk. Guys, if you have jokes you have to give them room to breath. Four people constantly talking really loudly at each other at a million words a minute is not in itself funny.

I think having the gang all live in two apartments that are across the hall from each other would really help the dynamic.

Sunny is such a great show.  My brother gave me the frist 3 or 4 (I dont remember) seasons a year or so ago and I just love it.  the musical episode is probably my favorite.  I know he has the fifth season for me but i havnt gotten around to bringing my external hardrive to get it yet.

Just thinking about it makes me so so happy.

Also was it really necessary  to be a dick to Harry like that? How is his point not valid, whether you agree with it or not?

Now that I look back, it was kind of dismissive to post like that, but at that point I didn't really care one way or the other. No harm intended, sorry.

But yeah, the show is hardly perfect, and they do talk a lot at some junctures.

I meant to say before as well, a few of you mentioned crushes on The Waitress.  I thought she was really cute at the start but as the seasons go on I can't help but notice she is a bitch!  Which makes her significantly less cute.

Although really, anyone who will do anything for Dennis is hardly going to be adorable.

Curiosity has struck, can you not download the seasons? As I do not get FX this is how I am left to watch it, and I imagine since you're trying to import bootlegs its not any kind of moral issue.

Yeah, Australian internet pricing schemes and standards leave a lot to be desired. By North American standards, you're typically picking between "Draconian" and "Mildly less draconian."

By contrast, today I downloaded Highlander 1 and 2 via bittorrent because I was bored and there was nothing stopping me from doing so. I didn't even want to watch either movie in their entirety, and after watching about 3 minutes of Highlander 1, I deleted both films. As always, the lesson here is that Americans are immensely spoiled.

I watched the entirety of Highlander going "when is this going to get good?"  Now I kind of look back on it with fond memories even though i didn't enjoy it that much.

Was there not talk of a Highlander remake?  Whatever happened to that?

Think about it, she's spent at least five years being stalked by Charlie, abused by Dennis, and then she slept with Frank.  Good god, the woman' was driven completely batshit insane.

The question is what is wrong with you Highlander is glorious.

Well, I was in an argument with my brother about what is the most god awful sword fight in a movie that many people unquestionably love, so I had to bust out Ramirez vs. Kurgan. Otherwise I didn't really feel like watching it.

I never had any intention of watching Highlander 2, for reasons that are obvious to anyone who's seen it. I downloaded it because I was too lazy/oblivious to notice it was bundled in with the first one.

Thing is, Highlander's premise makes a better TV show than a movie. And yes I know there was a TV show, but to make a TV show set in a different period, or worse, multiple periods in time is very expensive. Lets look at Deadwood for example, they basically built a small town which must cost a pretty penny.

Yeah, she started out as being at least somewhat more legit than 'the gang' but now she has just been so thoroughly mangled emotionally that she's just as bad as them.

i think she could end up going even farther off the deep end than rickity crickit, given the opportunity.

I also have to point out at how awesome it is that Charlie accidentally uses the word filibuster correctly by starting an aside argument with Dee that prolongs the going ons of bird law and other such lawyerings.
