Fuck Buttons

So... I saw the comment on the comic and though I'd make a topic, I got the CD recently however I am disappointed...

Not because of the tracks, I like the new tunes, the whole album just seems a bit flat... they could really do with some better production on their albums, it's so so important with this kind of music.

On a related note, I really hate button flys, zippers seem to have become rare on nice jeans here. It's such a pain having to unbutton and button them when your out on the piss. So yeah, fuck buttons.

Button Fly jeans are better.

New Fuck Buttons record is better than the old one, overall, but the best songs aren't as good as the best songs on the first record.

It's a trade off really. I find it hard to deal with the buttons when I'm drunk, but on the other hand I don't sandwich my scrotum between metal teeth.

Button fly jeans are a pain whether drunk or sober. If you can't be trusted not to get your genitalia caught in a zip then fine but don't take away the choice for the rest of us.

Everything I've heard from the Fuck Buttons is pretty droning.  If I want droning I'll listen to something more technically proficient like Fever Ray.

OK so I haven't heard the FR album except for a few songs but from what I have heard there is very little "drone" aspect to it at all and anyway do you really think it would be easy to make something like this

i heard the single version of "surf solar" on a magazine sampler - struck me as being kinda interesting, especially for a genre i'm not generally that into, might have to check out more.  and yes, button flies are well annoying.  i'll take my chances with a zip thanks!

They're really good live. Gonna see them again on Thursday. I can't make up my mind about Tarot Sport in relation to Street Horrrsing. Kieff's pronouncement sounds like a fair judgement, but...I like them both enough to not want to decide prematurely.

I'm really mixed on Fuck Buttons. It's good, better than a lot of the stuff I listen to, actually, but I still tend to feel kind of disappointed by drone influenced music. I always feel like the track is going to spontaneously become more awesome, with some grand payoff that never comes. It's like listening to the intro of a really fucking ace album and then finding out that's all there is to it. It's all suspense and no release, I guess.

I like the new album, but was a little disappointed by the lack of yelling and overall less noisy sound. Bit more dancey, also, which is fun.
